| Summary, etc. | تهدف الدراسة لتحليل وقياس أثر الجودة المؤسسية على فعالية السياسة النقدية في مواجهة التضخم في مصر خلال الفترة من 1984 حتى 2021 باستخدام مؤشر المخاطر السياسية، أحد مؤشرات الدليل الدولي للمخاطر القطرية (ICRG)، كمقياس للجودة المؤسسية، ومعدل التضخم السنوي كمقياس لفعالية السياسة النقدية. وقد تم الاعتماد على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي والمنهج الكمي وعلى نموذج الانحدار الذاتي لفترات الإبطاء الموزعة (ARDL) من أجل قياس وتقدير أثر الجودة المؤسسية على فعالية السياسة النقدية في مواجهة التضخم في مصر. وقد توصلت نتائج التقدير إلى وجود أثر سلبي ومعنوي للجودة المؤسسية على معدل التضخم في مصر في الأجلين القصير والطويل، وبالتالي فان تحسن الجودة المؤسسية ومؤشرات الحوكمة يُزيد من فعالية السياسة النقدية. وقد أوصت الدراسة بوضع استراتيجية لخفض حجم الاقتصاد غير الرسمي والاستمرار في تطوير البنية التحتية الرقمية بما يعزز من عملية الشمول المالي، هذا بالإضافة الى خلق أسواق مالية أكثر تطورا، والاستمرار في دعم استقلالية البنك المركزي المصري. |

| Summary, etc. | The study aims to analyze and measure the impact of institutional quality on the effectiveness of monetary policy in combating inflation in Egypt during the period from 1984 to 2021 using the political risk index, one of the indicators of the International Country Risk Guide (ICRG), as a measure of institutional quality, and the annual inflation rate as a measure of monetary policy effectiveness. The descriptive analytical approach, the quantitative approach, and the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model were used to measure and estimate the impact of institutional quality on the effectiveness of monetary policy in confronting inflation in Egypt. The estimation results showed a negative and significant impact of institutional quality on the inflation rate in Egypt in the short and long term, and thus improving institutional quality and governance indicators increases the effectiveness of monetary policy. The study recommended developing a strategy to reduce the size of the informal economy and continuing to develop the digital infrastructure to enhance the process of financial inclusion, in addition to creating more developed financial markets, and continuing to support the independence of the Central Bank of Egypt. |
