| Summary, etc. | Background: Obesity is a disease characterized by the accumulation of body fat, <br/>which leads to greater susceptibility to cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, type 2 <br/>diabetes, respiratory problems, fatty liver, airway disease, depression, and some types <br/>of cancer. These comorbidities are associated with reduced life expectancy and <br/>premature death, in addition to their psychosocial and quality-of-life impacts. <br/>Aim of the study: Was to investigate the effect of high intensity focused ultrasound <br/>on sleep quality measures in obese doubled chin women. Methods :This study was <br/>carried out on 60 women with age ranges from 35 to 50 years old. The participants <br/>was selected from Kasr- Alaini Hospital from outpatient clinic; they was randomly <br/>divided into two groups equal in number. Group A (High intensity focused <br/>ultrasound with exercise):The participants received high intensity focused ultrasound <br/>1session/month for 3 successful months with double chin exercise(daily)as home care <br/>routine. Group B:(Exercise group):The participants received daily double chin <br/>exercises as home care routine only for three months. Results: Group (A),showed <br/>more a statistically significant decrease in submental fat scale(-20.55 4.60), hormonal <br/>changes(cortisol level) (-5.57±0.81), snoring(0.67±0.46), sleep apnea scale(-5.56 <br/>±2.18)comparing to Group B <br/>Conclusion: There was a significant effect of high intensity focused ultrasound on <br/>sleep quality measures in obese doubled chin women |

| Summary, etc. | الخلفية العلمية: الذقن المزدوجة هي طبقة من الدهون تحت الجلد حول الرقبة تتدلي الي أسفل وتخلق التجاعيد.<br/>الهدف:والهدف من هذه الدراسة هو تقييمالموجات فوق الصوتية المركزة عالية الكثافة على قياسات جودة النوم في السيدات ذواتي سمنه الذقن المزدوجة.الطرق:تم إجراء هذه الدراسة على 60 سيدة يعانون من سمنه الذقن المزدوجة.وكانت أعمارهم تتراوح بين 35 و50عاما تم اختيارهم من مستشفى قصر العيني جامعة القاهرة, وقسموا الي مجموعتان:المجموعة الاولي:شملت30مريضا تم علاجهم علي جهاز الموجات الفوق الصوتية المركزة عالية الكثافة جلسه شهريا لمده 3 جلسات متتاليه مع استخدام تمارين لتقليل الدهون في منطقه الذقن لمده 3 شهور. المجموعة الثانية: شملت 30 مريضا اتبعواتمارين فقط لتقليل الدهون في منطقه الذقن فقط لمده 3 شهور.<br/>النتائج:وفقا للنتائج الاحصائية لوحظ ان الموجات فوق الصوتية المركزة عالية الكثافة لها تأثير على قياسات جودة النوم في السيدات ذواتي سمنه الذقن المزدوجة. |
