| Summary, etc. | Aim of the study:This study was conducted to determine the effect of of hexa-polar <br/>radiofrequency on abdominal skin laxity post weight reduction in obese adolescent <br/>females. Subjects: Sixty adolescent females complaining of post weight reduction <br/>skin laxity participated in this study. They were selected randomly from Kasre El <br/>Ainy University Hospital in Cairo to participate in this study. Their ages ranged from <br/>17 to 21 years old. They were virgins. Their BMI were ranged from 25 to 30 kg/m². <br/>Design: The design of the study was a randomized controlled clinical trial. They were <br/>divided randomly into two equal groups; Group A (Control group): It was consisted <br/>of thirty adolescent females and were treated by tretinoin cream (Retin-A) on <br/>abdomen once every other day for 8 weeks. Group B (Study group): It was consisted <br/>of thirty adolescent females and were treated by tretinoin cream (Retin-A) on <br/>abdomen once every other day for 8 weeks in addition to hexa-polar radiofrequency <br/>for 30-40 minutes/ session, 2 times/week for 8 weeks. Assessment: Two point <br/>discrimination was used to assess skin laxity, Pittsburgh rating scale was used to <br/>assess severity of abdominal skin laxity and digital photography scale was used to <br/>assess percentage of improvement of skin laxity for all females in both groups (A&B) <br/>before and after treatment. Results: Results of this study found that; within groups; <br/>there was significant decrease in two point discrimination and Pittsburgh rating scale <br/>& significant increase in digital photography scale post treatment in both groups (A <br/>and B). Between groups; pre treatment; there was no significant difference between <br/>both groups (A and B) in two point discrimination, Pittsburgh rating scale and digital <br/>photography scale. While, post treatment; there was significant difference between <br/>both groups (A and B) in two point discrimination, Pittsburgh rating scale and digital <br/>photography scale (with favor of group B). Conclusion: So that, it could be <br/>concluded that hexa-polar radiofrequency is an effective method in reducing <br/>abdominal skin laxity post weight reduction in obese adolescent females. |

| Summary, etc. | الهدف من الدراسة: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد تأثير الترددات الراديوية سداسية الأقطاب على ترهلات جلد البطن عقب إنقاص الوزن لدى الفتيات المراهقات البدينات. الأشخاص: وقد شاركت في الدراسة 60 فتاة مراهقة تم اختيارهن عشوائيًا من مستشفى قصر العيني، أُجريت الدراسة في الفترة من يناير 2024 إلى ديسمبر 2024. تراوحت أعمارهم بين 17 و21 عامًا. كن عذارى وتراوحت مؤشرات كتلة الجسم لديهن بين 25 و30 كجم/م². التصميم: كان تصميم الدراسة تجربة سريرية عشوائية مُحكمة. قسمت المشاركات عشوائيًا الى مجموعتين متساويتين فى العدد: المجموعة (أ): تكونت من ثلاثين فتاه مراهقة تلقت كريم تريتينوين مرة كل يومين لمدة 8 أسابيع، المجموعة (ب): تلقت الكريم بنفس الطريقة، بالإضافة إلى جلسات الترددات الراديوية سداسية الأقطاب (30–40 دقيقة/الجلسة، مرتين أسبوعيًا لمدة 8 أسابيع). التقييم: تم استخدام التمييز بين نقطتين لتقييم ترهل جلد البطن، تم استخدام مقياس بيتسبرغ لتقييم شدة ترهل الجلد في البطن و تم استخدام مقياس التصوير الرقمي لتقييم نسبة تحسن ترهل الجلد لجميع الإناث في كلتا المجموعتين (أ ، ب) قبل وبعد العلاج. النتائج: توصلت نتائج هذه الدراسة إلى أنه داخل المجموعات؛ كان هناك انخفاض كبير في التمييز بين النقطتين ومقياس تصنيف بيتسبرغ وزيادة كبيرة في مقياس التصوير الرقمي بعد العلاج في كلتا المجموعتين (أ، ب). بين المجموعتين، قبل العلاج، لم يُلاحظ فرقٌ ذو دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعتين (أ) و(ب) في التمييز بين النقطتين، ومقياس بيتسبرغ، ومقياس التصوير الرقمي. أما بعد العلاج، فكان الفرق ذو دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعتين (أ) و(ب) في التمييز بين النقطتين، ومقياس بيتسبرغ، ومقياس التصوير الرقمي (لصالح المجموعة (ب). الخلاصة: وبناء على ذلك، يمكن الاستنتاج ان الترددات الراديوية سداسية الأقطاب هي طريقة فعالة للتأثير على ترهلات جلد البطن عقب إنقاص الوزن لدى الفتيات المراهقات البدينات. |
