| Summary, etc. | Background: Neck pain is a well-known painful musculoskeletal <br/>disorder characterised by localised neck pain and radiating pain in some <br/>cases. <br/>Purpose of the study : This study was conducted to compare the <br/>effectiveness of phonphoresis and low level laser therapy(LLLT) on <br/>classical acupoints and myofacial trigger points of upper trapezius <br/>muscle. <br/>Materials and Methods: Study design: 120 participants from both <br/>genders who had neck pain. They varied in age from 20 to 40 years old. <br/>They were divided into eight equal groups at random: Four groups <br/>received treatment on classical acupoints while the other four groups <br/>received therapy on myofacial trigger points of upper trapezius muscle.They <br/>took about 12 sessions day after day for one month. Cervical range of <br/>motion measured by CROM device and pain intensity measured by <br/>pressure algometer at the end of the last session. <br/>Results: (3×2 Mixed design MANOVA) revealed that there was <br/>significantly increase in cervical range of motion and in pain intensity <br/>(P=0.0001; P<0.05) post treatment compared to pre-treatment within <br/>groups. This significant increase in cervical range of motion post-<br/>treatment was in favor of combined phonophoresis and laser group than <br/>phonophoresis alone and laser alone and for pain intensity in both <br/>classical acupoints groups and myofascial trigger points groups. <br/>Conclusion: This study concluded that there were an increase in cervical <br/>range of motion and decrease in pain intensity in all groups but the <br/>improvements were more with the combination of phonophoresis and <br/>LLLT group rather than the other groups. Combination of LLLT and <br/>phonophoresis are more effective than LLLT alone or phonophoresis <br/>alone in reducing pain and increasing CROM classical acupoints and <br/>myofascial trigger points. |

| Summary, etc. | الهدف من الدراسة، دراسة التأثير الثنائي لكل من الليزر منخفض الشدة والرحلان الصوتي على نقاط الضغط التقليدية مقابل نقاط الوخز في مرضى الام الرقبة.<br/>وأجريت الدراسة على 120 متطوعا من الرجال والنساء، الذين وصفوا بأنهم يعانون من آلام في الرقبة. وكانت أعمارهم من 20 إلى 40 سنة. وتم تقسيمهم عشوائياً إلى ثماني مجموعات متساوية العدد.<br/>المجموعة الأولى، تألفت من 15 متطوعًا من كلا الجنسين الذين يعانون من آلام في الرقبة تلقوا ليزر منخفض الشدة على نقاط الضغط التقليدية لمدة أربع أسابيع، بواقع ثلاث جلسات كل أسبوع.<br/>المجموعة الثانية تكونت من 15 متطوعاً من كلا الجنسين الذين يعانون من آلام الرقبة وتم علاجهم ببالانتقال الصوتي للهيدروكورتيزون 1% بالتزامن مع ديكلوفيناك 1% على نقاط الضغط التقليدية. كانوا يشاركون في ثلاث جلسات في الأسبوع لمدة أربع أسابيع.<br/>المجموعة الثالثة تكونت من 15 متطوعاً من الجنسين رجالاً ونساءً، الذين يعانون من آلام الرقبة وتم علاجهم بالرحلان الصوتي للهيدروكورتيزون 1% بالإضافة إلى الديكلوفيناك 5% على نقاط الضغط التقليدية لمدة أربع أسابيع بواقع 3 جلسات كل أسبوع.<br/> المجموعة الرابعة، تكونت من 15 متطوعًا من كلا الجنسين، رجال ونساء، الذين يعانون من آلام الرقبة وتم علاجهم بكل من الليزر منخفض الشدة والانتقال الصوتي على نقاط الضغط التقليدية و حضروا ثلاث جلسات كل أسبوع لمدة 4 أسابيع<br/> المجموعة الخامسة تكونت من 15 متطوعاً من كلا الجنسين، رجال ونساء، الذين يعانون من آلام الرقبة وتم علاجهم بـ الليزر منخفض الشدة على نقاط الوخزفي العضلة شبه المنحرفة العلوية. حضروا ثلاث جلسات كل أسبوع لمدة 4 أسابيع.<br/> المجموعة السادسة تكونت من 15 متطوعاً من الجنسين رجالاً ونساءً، الذين يعانون من آلام الرقبة وتم علاجهم بالانتقال الصوتي للهيدروكورتيزون 1% بالتزامن مع ديكلوفيناك 1% على نقاط الوخز في العضلة شبه المنحرفة العلوية. حضروا ثلاث جلسات كل أسبوع لمدة4 أسابيع.<br/>المجموعة السابعة تكونت من 15 متطوعاً من الجنسين رجالاً ونساءً، الذين يعانون من آلام الرقبة وتم علاجهم بالانتقال الصوتي للهيدروكورتيزون 1% بالتزامن مع ديكلوفيناك 5% على نقاط الوخز في العضلة شبه المنحرفة العلوية. حضروا ثلاث جلسات كل أسبوع لمدة 4 اسابيع. المجموعة الثامنة المكونة من 15 متطوعًا من كلا الجنسين، رجال ونساء، الذين يعانون من آلام الرقبة وقد تم علاجهم بالانتقال الصوتي والليزر منخفض الشدة على نقاط الوخز في العضلة شبه المنحرفة العلوية.<br/>تم قياس نطاق حركة الرقبة باستخدام جهاز CROM. وتم قياس شدة وكثافة الألم بواسطة جهاز ألجوميتر. تم أخذ القياس قبل وبعد العلاج. |
