| Summary, etc. | This study combines put-away operations with parallel machine scheduling in <br/>dedicated and randomized storage systems, using binary integer nonlinear <br/>programming models to address constraints like product arrivals and precedence, <br/>material handling equipment eligibility. It aims to minimize costs and times related to <br/>transportation, waiting at the Input/Output station, storage, and tardiness, introducing <br/>new test instances. Due to complexity, metaheuristic techniques are developed, such <br/>as Discrete Particle Swarm Optimization, Genetic Algorithms, and Non-dominated <br/>Sorting Genetic Algorithm II. |
