| Summary, etc. | هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد العلاقة بين كل من الكمالية وأساليب المواجهة والإجهاد النفسي لدي عينة من الامهات لأول مرة، بالإضافة إلى التحقق من دور أساليب المواجهة كمتغير وسيط بين الكمالية والإجهاد النفسي، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (180) أم لأول مرة تراوحت أعمارهم ما بين (21- 40) عام، وتم تطبيق مقياس الكمالية من إعداد (Frost et al.,1990) وترجمة (أيمن حلمي واصف، 2010)، استبيان أساليب المواجهة Ways of coping من إعداد Lazarus&Folkman,1986)) وترجمة الباحثة، ومقياس الإجهاد النفسي (من إعداد الباحثة)، وقد أشارت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة ارتباطية ايجابية دالة إحصائيًا بين كل من الكمالية (التكيفية - غير التكيفية) والإجهاد النفسي ، كما أشارت إلى وجود علاقة ارتباطية إيجابية دالة إحصائياً بين الكمالية التكيفية وكل من أساليب المواجهة (المتمركزة حول المشكلة -المتمركزة حول العاطفة) بينما توجد علاقة ارتباطية إيجابية دالة إحصائياً بين الكمالية غير التكيفية وأساليب المواجهة المتمركزة حول العاطفة فقط ، وأشارت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة ارتباطية إيجابية دالة إحصائياً بين أساليب المواجهة المتمركزة حول العاطفة والإجهاد النفسي وقيامها بدور وسيط في العلاقة بين الكمالية غير التكيفية والإجهاد النفسي لدى عينة الدراسة. |

| Summary, etc. | The study aimed to determine the relationship between perfectionism, coping styles and psychological distress, and to examine the role of coping styles as a mediating variable between perfectionism and psychological stress. The study sample consists of (180) first time mothers ranging in age from (21- 40) years; The study used the following tools: Frost multidimensional perfectionism scale (Frost,1990) translated by Ayman Helmy 2010, Ways of coping questionnaire prepared by (Lazarus& Folkman,1986) translated by the researcher, Psychological distress scale prepared by the researcher. The results indicated that there is a positive, statistically significant relationship between both (adaptive-maladaptive) perfectionism and psychological distress. The results also indicated that there is a positive, statistically significant relationship between adaptive perfectionism and both (problem-focused – emotion-focused) coping styles but there is a positive, statistically significant relationship between maladaptive perfectionism and emotion-focused coping styles only. The results indicated that there was a positive, statistically significant relationship between emotion coping styles and psychological distress and that they play a mediating role in the relationship between maladaptive perfectionism and psychological distress among the study sample. |
