| Summary, etc. | Background: The pelvic floor muscles are essential for organs support, voiding and defecation, continence, sexual function, delivery, and pelvic girdle stability. Vaginal deliveries resulted in higher levels of markers of muscle cell damage as creatine phosphokinase than did cesarean sections. Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the correlation between creatine phosphokinase and pelvic floor muscle strength in postnatal women. Methods: Eighty four post-partum women who delivered vaginally, (4-6 weeks after delivery), their ages ranged from 25 - 35 years old and their body mass index was less than 30 Kg/m2, participated in this study. Blood analysis was done to measure level of creatine phosphokinase and biofeedback (TG Myo Feedback 420v) was used to evaluate pelvic floor muscle strength for all participants in the study. The Results of this study showed that there was a negative correlation (r= -0.226, p= 0.038) between creatine phosphoinase and pelvic floor muscle strength in postnatal women. However there was a positive correlation between creatine phosphokinase and parity (r= 0.230, p= 0.035) in postnatal women. Conclusion: creatine phosphokinase can be used as a soft marker beside other methods for the detection of the pelvic floor muscle strength in postnatal women but it is not a specific indicator for pelvic floor muscle strength. |

| Summary, etc. | تعد عضلات قاع الحوض ضرورية و ذلك لدعم الاعضاء الداخلية والتحكم في عمليات الاخراج، و الوظائف الجنسية، والولادة، واستقرار حزام الحوض. كما أظهرت الولادات الطبيعية ارتفاع فى مستويات مؤشرات تلف خلايا العضلات، مثل الكرياتين فوسفوكيناز، مقارنةً بالولادات القيصرية. و قد أُجريت هذه الدراسة لاختبار الارتباط بين الكرياتين فسفوكيناز و قوة عضلات قاع الحوض لدي السيدات بعد الولادة حيث شاركت في هذه الدراسة أربعة و ثمانون سيدة متطوعة بعد حوالى 4 - 6 أسابيع من بعد الولادة الطبيعية و قد تم اختيارهن من عيادة أمراض النساء في مستشفى المطرية التعليمي و قد تراوحت أعمارهن من 25 الي 35 سنه و لا تزيد كتلة الجسم لديهن عن 30 كجم/متر مربع. و قد تم التقييم لجميع الحالات من خلال قياس مستوى الكرياتين فسفوكيناز فى الدم و قياس قوه عضلات قاع الحوض باستخدام جهاز التغذية المرجعية. و قد أظهرت النتائج وجود علاقه عكسية بين قوه عضلات قاع الحوض و الكرياتين فسفوكيناز كما أظهرت وجود علاقة طردية بين عدد مرات الولادة و الكرياتين فسفوكيناز فى السيدات بعد الولادة الطبيعية. و من هنا يمكن ان نستخلص أن: الكرياتين فسفويناز يعد كوحده قياس لتقييم عضلات قاع الحوض بعد الولادة بالاضافة إلى وسائل التقييم الأخري و لكنه ليس مؤشرا محددا لقوة عضلات الحوض. |
