| Summary, etc. | Background: Chronic lateral epicondilitis define as widespread overuse injury disorder that affects both sexes between 30 to 50 years old. This injury is often work-related, any activity involving wrist extension, pronation or supination at manual labour, housework and hobbies are considered as important causal factors and it often involves chronic repetitive motion activities related to either sports or work. Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to investigate the influence of Maitland mobilization on neo-vascularity, hypo-echogenicity, pain intensity, range of motion of wrist extension, hand grip strength and functional disability on patients with chronic lateral epicondylitis of the dominant arm. Methods: 60 participants were randomly enrolled into two equal groups. Group A (n=30) received Maitland mobilization in addition to conventional therapy program and Group B (n=30) received a conventional physical therapy program only for 3 times/ weekly for 12 sessions. The measurements were conducted before and after four weeks of intervention with frequency of 3 times/weekly using Ultrasonography, Visual Analogue Scale, Goniometer, Dynamometer, and the quick questionnaire Scale. Result: After the intervention program each group demonstrated significant decreased in neovascularity/hypo-echogenicity on Group A decreased compared with group B (p < 0.001), decreased pain severity, increasing ROM of wrist extension, increasing in hand strength grip and decreased function disability in Group A comparing with Group B. There was statistically significant between groups decrease in VAS (p < 0.001), significant increase in wrist extension ROM (p < 0.001), significant increase hand grip (p < 0.001) and quick DASH (p < 0.001) after four weeks of intervention Group A showed more improvement than in Group B (p < 0.001).Conclusion: Maitland mobilization technique with conventional program showed a significant differance in decreased in neovascularity/hypo-echogenicity, decreased pain intensity, increased ROM of wrist extension, increased hand grip strength, and decreased functional disability in patient with chronic lateral epicondylitis. |

| Summary, etc. | الخلفية: يُعرَّف التهاب اللقيمة الجانبي المزمن بأنه اضطراب إصابة واسع الانتشار ناتج عن الإفراط في الاستخدام ويؤثر على كلا الجنسين الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين 30 و50 عامًا. غالبًا ما تكون هذه الإصابة مرتبطة بالعمل، وأي نشاط يتضمن مد المعصم أو كب أو استلقاء أثناء العمل اليدوي والأعمال المنزلية والهوايات تُعتبر عوامل سببية مهمة وغالبًا ما تتضمن أنشطة الحركة المتكررة المزمنة المتعلقة إما بالرياضة أو العمل.. الهدف من الدراسه: كان الغرض من هذه الدراسة هو التحقيق في تأثير تعبئة مايتلاند على الأوعية الدموية الجديدة ونقص الصدى وشدة الألم ونطاق حركة مد المعصم وقوة قبضة اليد والإعاقة الوظيفية لدى المرضى الذين يعانون من التهاب اللقيمة الجانبي المزمن للذراع المهيمنة. الطرق والأساليب: تم تسجيل 60 مشاركا بشكل عشوائي في مجموعتين متساويتين. المجموعة أ (العدد = 30) تتلقى طريقه ميتلاند بالإضافة إلى العلاج التقليدي في شكل (تعليمات وجبيرة المرفق؛ تدليك الاحتكاك العميق، تمارين تقوية وتمدد العضلات الباسطة لمعصم اليد، الموجات فوق الصوتية المستمرة وتحفيز العصب الكهربائية،) لمدة 3 مرات / أسبوعا لمدة 12 جلسة.، المجموعة ب (العدد = 30) تتلقى برنامج العلاج الطبيعي التقليدي فقط. تم إجراء القياسات قبل وبعد أسابيع من التدخل بتكرار ثلاث مرات / أسبوعيًا باستخدام التصوير بالموجات فوق الصوتية، والمقياس التناظري البصري، ومقياس الزوايا، ومقياس الدينامومتر، والمقياس الوظيفى السريع. النتائج: بعد برنامج التدخل، أظهرت كل مجموعة انخفاضًا ملحوظًا في تكوين الأوعية الدموية الجديدة/ نقص صدى الصوت في المجموعة (أ) مقارنةً بالمجموعة (ب) (قيمة الاحتمال = 0.001)، وانخفاضًا في شدة الألم، وزيادة في مدى حركة المعصم، وزيادة في قوة قبضة اليد، وأنخفاضًا في الإعاقة الوظيفية في المجموعة (أ) مقارنةً بالمجموعة (ب). كان هناك أنخفاض ذو دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعتين في قياس شده الالم (قيمة الاحتمال = 0.001)، وزيادة كبيرة في مدى حركة المعصم التمددى (قيمة الاحتمال = 0.001)، وزيادة كبيرة في قوه قبضة اليد (قيمة الاحتمال = 0.001)، وانخفاض فى معدل الاعاقه الوظيفيه للحركه (قيمة الاحتمال = 0.001) بعد أربعة أسابيع من التدخل خلال ثلاث جلسات اسبوعيا، أظهرت المجموعة (أ) تحسنًا أكبر من المجموعة (ب) (قيمة الاحتمال = 0.001)..الخلاصه: أظهرت تقنية طريقه مايتلاند مع البرنامج التقليدي فرقًا كبيرًا في أنخفاض تكوين الأوعية الدموية الجديدة/ نقص صدى الصوت، وانخفاض شدة الألم، وزيادة مدى حركة المعصم التمددى، وزيادة قوة قبضة اليد، وأنخفاض الإعاقة الوظيفية لدى المرضى المصابين بالتهاب اللقيمه الجانبي المزمن. |
