Summary, etc. This study presents a numerical investigation using ANSYS Forte to evaluate the <br/>performance and emission characteristics of diesel engines fueled with ethanol-diesel <br/>blends. A single-cylinder, direct-injection engine model was developed to analyze the <br/>effects of varying ethanol ratios (up to 50%), EGR levels (up to 20%), and engine <br/>loads on combustion behavior. Results showed that a 20% ethanol blend with 10% <br/>EGR reduced CO and UHC emissions by approximately 35% and 28%, respectively, <br/>while maintaining combustion stability. Higher ethanol ratios lowered peak in-<br/>cylinder pressure and enhanced early combustion stages. Emission reductions were <br/>more significant under partial load, with CO decreasing by up to 42%. The simulation <br/>model showed good agreement with experimental data, with a mean absolute error of <br/>2.1%. Overall, ethanol-diesel blends show strong potential for meeting Euro 6 <br/>standards while supporting cleaner and more sustainable engine performance. Further <br/>validation and model refinement are recommended for broader application.

Summary, etc. تقدم هذه الدراسة تحليلًا عدديًا لتقييم أداء وانبعاثات محركات الديزل عند استخدام خلطات من الإيثانول والديزل، باستخدام نموذج لمحرك أحادي الأسطوانة يعمل بالحقن المباشر. تم تحليل تأثير تغيّر نسب الإيثانول حتى ٥٠٪، ونسب تدوير غاز العادم حتى ٢٠٪، وظروف الأحمال المختلفة على سلوك الاحتراق. أظهرت النتائج أن خلط ٢٠٪ من الإيثانول مع ١٠٪ من تدوير غاز العادم أدى إلى خفض انبعاثات أول أكسيد الكربون والهيدروكربونات غير المحترقة بنسبة تقارب ٣٥٪ و٢٨٪ على التوالي، مع الحفاظ على استقرار الاحتراق. كما ساهمت النسب الأعلى من الإيثانول في خفض الضغط داخل الأسطوانة وتحسين مرحلة الاحتراق المبكر. كانت تقليل الانبعاثات أوضح تحت الأحمال الجزئية، حيث انخفض أول أكسيد الكربون بنسبة تصل إلى ٤٢٪. أظهر النموذج توافقًا جيدًا مع البيانات التجريبية، بمعدل خطأ قدره ٢.١٪. تؤكد النتائج فعالية خلط الإيثانول مع الديزل في تقليل الانبعاثات وتحقيق أداء أنظف يتوافق مع المعايير البيئية الصارمة.
