Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare between the effect of cryolipolysis <br/>and ultrasound cavitation on post-menopausal abdominal adiposity. Subjects: Sixty post-<br/>menopausal women participated in this study to compare between the effect of <br/>cryolipolysis and ultrasound cavitation on post-menopausal abdominal adiposity. They <br/>were selected randomly from Outpatient Clinic of Om El Masryeen General Hospital in <br/>Giza. Their ages were ranged from (50-60) years old. Their body mass index were > 30 <br/>kg/m2. All women were at least 2 years after menopause. All women suffer from <br/>abdominal obesity as their waist circumference will be > 90 cm and their waist hip ratio <br/>were > 0.85. Design: Design of the study was randomized controlled study. All women <br/>were divided randomly into two groups (A&B). Group A (Cryolipolysis group): It was <br/>consisted of thirty post menopausal women and were treated by low caloric diet (1200 <br/>kcal /day) and cryolipolysis for 60 mins, one session every 4 weeks for 3 months. Group <br/>B (Ultrasound cavitation group): It was consisted of thirty post menopausal women and <br/>were treated by low caloric diet (1200 kcal /day) and ultrasound cavitation for 40 mins, <br/>twice per week for 3 months. Assessment: Tape measurement was used to assess waist <br/>circumference and hip circumference to calculate waist hip ratio for each woman in both <br/>groups (A&B) before and after treatment. Skin fold caliper was used to measure <br/>abdominal skin fold thickness for each woman in both groups (A&B) before and after <br/>treatment. Results: Results of this study revealed that Within groups; there was <br/>significant decrease in BMI, waist circumference, hip circumference, waist hip ratio and <br/>skin fold thickness in both groups A and B post treatment. Between groups; pre treatment <br/>as well as post treatment, there was no significant difference between both groups A and <br/>B in BMI, waist circumference, hip circumference, waist hip ratio and skin fold <br/>thickness. Conclusion: It can be concluded that both cryolipolysis and ultrasound <br/>cavitation have the same effect on reducing post menopausal abdominal adiposity <br/>through decreasing BMI, waist circumference, hip circumference, waist hip ratio and skin <br/>fold thickness. |

الغرض: أجريت هذه الدراسة لمقارنة تأثير تقنية تفتيت الدهون بالتبريد وتقنية تفتيت الدهون بالموجات فوق الصوتية على سمنة البطن بعد انقطاع الطمث. الأشخاص: شارك في هذه الدراسة ستون امرأة بعد انقطاع الطمث. تم اختيارهن عشوائيًا من العيادات الخارجية لمستشفى أم المصرين العام بالجيزة. تراوحت أعمارهن بين (50-60) عامًا. ومؤشر كتلة الجسم لديهن > 30 كجم/م2. وجميع النساء بعد انقطاع الطمث بسنتين على الأقل. وجميع النساء يعانين من السمنة البطنية حيث يكون محيط خصرهن > 90 سم ونسبة الخصر إلى الوركين > 0.85. التصميم: هذه الدراسة كانت دراسة عشوائية محكمة. تم توزيعهن عشوائيًا إلى مجموعتين متساويتين في العدد ؛ المجموعة (أ) (مجموعة تحلل الدهون بالتبريد) تكونت من ثلاثين امرأة بعد انقطاع الطمث و تم علاجهن بواسطة النظام الغذائي منخفض السعرات الحرارية (1200 سعر حراري / يوم) وتحلل الدهون بالتبريد لمدة 60 دقيقة ، جلسة واحدة كل 4 أسابيع لمدة 3 أشهر. والمجموعة (ب) تكونت من ثلاثين امرأة بعد انقطاع الطمث و تم علاجهن بواسطة النظام الغذائي منخفض السعرات الحرارية (1200 سعر حراري / يوم) وتفتيت الدهون بالموجات فوق الصوتية لمدة 40 دقيقة ، مرتين في الأسبوع لمدة 3 أشهر. التقييم: تم تقييم مؤشر كتلة الجسم لكل امرأة في كلتا المجموعتين (أ) و (ب) باستخدام مقياس الوزن والطول قبل و بعد العلاج. تم تقييم محيط الخصر ومحيط الورك لحساب نسبة الخصر إلى الورك لكل امرأة في كلتا المجموعتين (أ) و (ب) قبل وبعد العلاج عن طريق شريط القياس. تم تقييم سمك طيات الجلد لكل امرأة في كلتا المجموعتين (أ) و (ب) باستخدام الفرجار قبل و بعد العلاج. النتائج: توصلت نتائج هذه الدراسة إلى عدم وجود فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعتين أ , ب في العمر, الوزن, الطول و مؤشر كتلة الجسم. أوضحت نتائج هذه الدراسة: داخل المجموعتين: وجود نقصان ذو دلالة احصائية في مؤشر كتلة الجسم , محيط الخصر, محيط الورك, نسبة محيط الخصر الي الورك وسمك طيات الجلد في المجموعتين أ,ب بعد العلاج. بين المجموعتين: قبل و بعد العلاج: عدم وجود فرق ذو دلالة احصائية بين المجموعتين أ , ب في مؤشر كتلة الجسم , محيط الخصر, محيط الورك, نسبة محيط الخصر الي الورك وسمك طيات الجلد. الخلاصة: و هكذا يمكن أن نستنتج أن كل من تفتيت الدهون بالتبريد و تفتيت الدهون بالموجات فوق الصوتية لهما نفس التأثير علي تقليل سمنة البطن بعد انقطاع الطمث من خلال تقليل مؤشر كتلة الجسم , محيط الخصر, محيط الورك, نسبة محيط الخصر الي الورك وسمك طيات الجلد. |
