| Summary, etc. | Background: Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is a serious widely spread <br/>condition that affects large number of women, leading to decreased quality <br/>of life. After Covid -19 pandemic, health associations worldwide have <br/>released recommendations about health care and rehabilitation from <br/>distance using tools of communication and information technologies. <br/>Purpose: This study aimed at investigating the feasibility of assessing SUI <br/>through tele-rehabilitation among Egyptian females. Methods: A total of <br/>116 women were selected from Kasr Al-Ainy women’s health outpatient <br/>clinic with ages between 20 to 60 years, and a body mass index ranged <br/>from 20 to 42 kg/m2. SUI was evaluated by urogenital distress inventory <br/>short form (UDI-6) and incontinence impact questionnaire (IIQ-7), as <br/>online- administered questionnaires and by in-person objective <br/>reassessment of pelvic floor muscles’ strength using the perineometer. <br/>Results: Regarding UDI-6 questionnaire, the median (IQR) score value <br/>was 11.5 (8 – 14) and for IIQ-7, the median (IQR) score value was 8 (5 – <br/>10). For the measurements of the perineometer examination, they ranged <br/>from 0 to 14 mmHg with a mean value ± SD of 5.71 ± 3.02 mmHg. Results <br/>indicated a statistically significant strong negative correlation (r= -0.49, -<br/>0.47) (P<0.001*) between the UDI-6 scores and IIQ-7 and the findings of <br/>the clinical assessment of pelvic floor muscle status. Conclusions: Tele-<br/>rehabilitation can replace face to face assessment of pelvic floor muscle <br/>strength in Egyptian women with SUI. |

| Summary, etc. | يعد سلس البول الإجهادي من الحالاتالمنتشرة على نطاق واسع والتي تؤثر على عدد كبير من النساء، وتؤدي إلى انخفاض في جودة الحياة. بعد جائحة كوفيد -19، أصدرت المؤسسات الصحية حول العالم توصيات بشأن الرعاية الصحية والتأهيل عن بعد باستخدام أدوات تكنولوجيا الاتصالات والمعلومات.هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى دراسة جدوى تقييم سلس البول الإجهادي من خلال الرعاية الصحية عن بعد بين النساء المصريات.تم اختيار 116 سيدة من العيادة الخارجية لصحة المرأة بالقصر العيني، تراوحت أعمارهن بين 20 إلى 60 سنة، ومؤشر كتلة الجسم من 20إلى 42كجم/م2. تم تقييم سلس البول الإجهادي من خلال النموذج القصيرلإستبيانتقييم اضطرابات الحوض واستبيان تأثير سلس البول، وهما استبيانان تم إرسالهما عبر الإنترنت، ومن خلال إعادة تقييم عضلات قاع الحوض إكلينيكياً باستخدام مقياس العضلات العجانية، وقدأشارت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة سلبيةقوية ذات دلالة إحصائيةبين نتائج كلٍ من استبيان تقييم اضطرابات الحوض واستبيان تأثير سلس البول وبين نتائج التقييم الإكلينيكي لعضلات قاع الحوض. وعليه نستنتج أنه يمكن الاستعاضة بالرعاية الصحية عن بعد عن التقييم وجهاً لوجه في السيدات المصريات اللاتي تعانين من سلس البول الإجهادي. |
