| Summary, etc. | The primary objective of this thesis is to analyze the behavior of composite <br/>steel cellular beams and quantify the reduction in moment capacity due to web <br/>openings. The study focuses on deriving a β (beta) reduction factor that reflects <br/>the capacity decline compared to solid composite beams. Using finite element <br/>analysis (FEA), we examine the impact of key parameters such as beam length <br/>(L), depth (d), opening diameter (D), and spacing (P) on the beam’s capacity. <br/>The results are validated through comparisons with AISC Design Guide 31 and <br/>relevant design codes. |

| Summary, etc. | يتناول هذا البحث دراسة عددية لتحليل سلوك الكمرات الفولاذية المركبة ذات الفتحات الخلوية، مع التركيز على تحديد الانخفاض في العزم الناتج عن هذه الفتحات. ولتمثيل الفرق في السعة مقارنة بالكمرات المصمتة، تم اشتقاق معامل تقليل العزم (β). كما تم إجراء تحليل بالعناصر المحددة لدراسة تأثير عدد من العوامل الهندسية مثل طول الكمرة وعمقها وقطر الفتحات والمسافات بينها. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تم حساب معاملات انخفاض الترخيم ومعاملات انخفاض قوى القص لقياس تأثير الفتحات على الأداء الخدمي والإنشائي. وقد شملت الدراسة ثلاث حالات تحميل مختلفة (حمل مركز، حملان نقطيان، وحمل موزع منتظم) كجزء من المتغيرات الأساسية. وتمت مقارنة النتائج مع كود AISC ودلائل التصميم المتاحة للتحقق من دقتها وصلاحيتها للتطبيق العملي. |
