Summary, etc. Thiopaq process is a recognized biological desulfurization technology that was <br/>commercialized 30 years ago. The process can be considered a caustic scrubbing <br/>technology in which hydrogen sulfide dissolves in a buffer solution which is diverted to <br/>an aerated bioreactor to produce biosulfur. In the current work, an industrial application <br/>of Thiopaq is modeled using Aspen Plus based on the rate equations of biological <br/>reactions. The basic model is compared with the design data to assess the model <br/>reliability followed by conducting six simulation cases based on the plant data to <br/>determine the deviations of the model for further improvement. Finally, an economic <br/>study is performed to evaluate the profitability of the process.

Summary, etc. تعتبر الثايوباك من التكنولوجيات المعتبرة في استرجاع الكبريت في الصناعة منذ ثلاثين عامًا. وتعد بمثابة تطبيق لتكنولوجيات النزع باستخدام السوائل القلوية عن طريق توظيف المحلول المزود بالكربونات والبيكربونات والذي يمتص كبريتيد الهيدروجين ليتم تحويله في المفاعل البيوكيميائي في وجود الهواء والبكتريا إلى كبريت. وفي هذا العمل تم عمل بناء نموذج محاكاة باستخدام برنامج أسبن بلس لمحطة ثايوباك اعتمادًا على المعادلات الكينماتيكية للتفاعلات الحادثة في المفاعل البيوكيميائي ولذلك للتحقق من فاعلية النموذج. كما تم دراسة ستة ظروف تشغيلية اعتمادًا على البيانات التشغيلية للمحطة لتعيين القصور في النموذج لتحسينه. وأخيرًا تم عمل دراسة اقتصادية لتقييم الجانب الاقتصادي للمحطة.
