Summary, etc.	Background: Non-specific low back pain is a low back pain not <br/>attributable to a recognizable, known specific pathology. Aim: To <br/>investigate how a segmental control program impacts hamstring peak <br/>torque, pain, as well as functional disability in individuals suffering <br/>from Non-specific low back pain. Design: pre-post randomized <br/>controlled trial. Setting: Non-specific low back pain patients from <br/>the Outpatient Clinic at Faculty of Physical Therapy, Giza, Egypt. <br/>Methods: 60 patients with non-specific low back pain were <br/>randomized into three groups utilizing an opaque sealed envelope. <br/>Group "A" (control); Group "B" (closed kinetic chain) and Group <br/>"C" (open kinetic chain): all groups were receiving the conventional <br/>therapy. Treatment was applied 3 times a week for successive four <br/>weeks. The patient’s pre and post-treatment evaluation was done <br/>utilizing an isokinetic dynamometer, visual analogue scale (VAS) in <br/>addition to Oswestry Disability Index for hamstring peak torque, pain <br/>intensity and functional disability for non- specific low back pain. <br/>Results: Multiple pairwise comparisons showed statistically <br/>significant differences among pre and post-treatment in all variables <br/>in the 3 groups as p-value <0.05. Between groups analysis revealed <br/>that there were no statistical significant differences among closed and <br/>open segmental control groups while post treatment, a statistical <br/>significant differences (p-value<0.05) was observed among closed <br/>kinetic and control as well as between open kinetic and control group. <br/>Conclusion: In patients suffering from non-specific low back pain, <br/>both closed as well as open kinetic chain exercises had a beneficial <br/>effect on hamstring peak torque, pain and functional disability.

Summary, etc.	الخلفية: ألم أسفل الظهر غير المحدد هو ألم في أسفل الظهر لا يُعزى إلى مرض محدد ومعروف. الهدف: دراسة تأثير برنامج التحكم القطاعي على ذروة عزم دوران عضلات الفخذ الخلفية، والألم، بالإضافة إلى الإعاقة الوظيفية لدى الأفراد الذين يعانون من ألم أسفل الظهر غير المحدد. التصميم: تجربة عشوائية مضبوطة قبل وبعد. مكان الدراسة: مرضى ألم أسفل الظهر غير المحدد من العيادة الخارجية بكلية العلاج الطبيعي، الجيزة، مصر.<br/>الأساليب: تم توزيع 60 مريضًا يعانون من ألم أسفل الظهر غير المحدد عشوائيًا إلى ثلاث مجموعات باستخدام مظروف مغلق معتم.<br/>المجموعة "أ" (الضابطة)؛ المجموعة "ب" (سلسلة حركية مغلقة)؛ والمجموعة<br/>"ج" (سلسلة حركية مفتوحة): تلقت جميع المجموعات العلاج التقليدي.<br/>تم تطبيق العلاج 3 مرات أسبوعيًا لمدة أربعة أسابيع متتالية. أُجري تقييم المريض قبل وبعد العلاج<br/>باستخدام جهاز قياس القوة الحركية المتساوية، ومقياس التناظر البصري (VAS)<br/>بالإضافة إلى مؤشر أوسويستري للإعاقة لعزم الدوران الأقصى لعضلات الفخذ الخلفية، والألم<br/>وشدة الألم<br/>والإعاقة الوظيفية لآلام أسفل الظهر غير المحددة.<br/>النتائج: أظهرت مقارنات ثنائية متعددة فروقًا ذات دلالة إحصائية<br/>بين ما قبل العلاج وما بعده في جميع المتغيرات<br/>في المجموعات الثلاث (قيمة p < 0.05). وكشف تحليل ما بين المجموعات<br/>أنه لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين مجموعتي التحكم القطعية المغلقة والمفتوحة<br/>بينما بعد العلاج، لوحظت فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية (قيمة p < 0.05) بين مجموعة التحكم الحركية المغلقة ومجموعة التحكم، وكذلك بين مجموعة التحكم الحركية المفتوحة ومجموعة التحكم.<br/>الخلاصة: لدى المرضى الذين يعانون من آلام أسفل الظهر غير المحددة،<br/>كان لكل من تمارين السلسلة الحركية المغلقة والمفتوحة تأثير مفيد<br/>على عزم الدوران الأقصى لعضلات الفخذ الخلفية، والألم، والإعاقة الوظيفية.
