| Summary, etc. | Background:Venous insufficiency may develop into chronic leg ulcer and deep <br/>vein thrombosis. Chronic venous diseases in the lower extremities have a <br/>substantial effect on functioning and quality of life. Comprehensive chronic venous <br/>insufficiency management supposed to base on its nature and severity in a gradual <br/>maneuver. Purpose: To detect the effect of vibrotherapy on venous insufficiency <br/>in elderly. Design: A prospective, pre-post-test randomized controlled trial. <br/>Setting: Outpatient-setting and inpatients .Subjects: Sixty patients with chronic <br/>venous insufficiency were allocated randomly into two groups. Study group (A) 30 <br/>patients their mean age was 73.63 years old received vibrotherapy with pressure, <br/>plus routine physical therapy protocol; Group (B)30 patients their mean age was <br/>75.53 years old received traditional physical therapy protocol.Intervention:40-<br/>minutes per session, three sessions per week for 12 weeks, plus routine physical <br/>therapy protocol for Study group (A); and while Control group (B) received <br/>routine physical therapy protocol. Outcome measures: Weight, body mass index, <br/>waist circumference, , laboratory lipid profile (high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, <br/>low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, and triglyceride), duplex ultrasonography, and <br/>quality of life questionnaire were measured pretreatment, and post treatment. <br/>Results: No significant differences between pretreatment between both groups (p >0.05). <br/>There was a significant decrease in body mass index, waist circumference, waist/ <br/>hip ratio, laboratory lipid profile (high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, low-density <br/>lipoprotein-cholesterol, and triglyceride), and improved quality of life in both <br/>groups at post treatment compared with that pretreatment (0.8% 23.2%, 13.5%, <br/>21.6%, 54.4%, 36.4% and 31.8% for study group, and 0.3%, 6.7%, 3.8%, 19.9%, <br/>49.6%, 26.8%, and 26.3% for control group respectively) in favor to group (A),(p <br/><0.001).Conclusion: Adding of vibrotherapy with pressure to traditional physical <br/>therapy training program revealed a significant improvement on venous <br/>insufficiency in elderly. |

| Summary, etc. | الخلفية العلمية: يتدهور القصور الوريدي لدي مرضي نقص كفاءة عمل الأوردة وقد يتسبب بتقرحات مزمنة بالأوردة العميقة. بلاشك تؤثرنقص كفاءة عمل الأوردة لدي كبار السن سلباً علي الأداء الوظيفي وجودة الحياة لجي كبار السن. كما يفترض الأخذ بالتشخيص الإكلينيكي وتوصيف المرحلة المرضية لحالات نقص كفاءة عمل الأوردة لدي كبار السن. هذا ويُعد الإهتزازات العلاجية نمطاً علاجيا ذا فعالية علاجية مع الإعداد بمعايير العلاج ذات الصلة من التردد ومعدل التسارع.الغرض:تم إجراء الدراسة لتقييم تأثير الإهتزازات العلاجية علي نقص كفاءة عمل الأوردة لدي كبار السن.تصميم الدراسة:تجرية عشوائية مُحكمة مستقبلية وفقاً لإختبارات قبل ويعد الدراسة.مكان الدراسة:العيادات الخارجية.إجراءات الدراسة: أجريت الدراسة علي ستينمشاركاً يعانون من نقص مزمنبكفاءة عمل الأوردة ؛تتراوح أعمارهم من ٦٥-٨٥ عاماً من كلا الجنسين، وتم تقسيمهم عشوائيا لمجموعتين متساويتين:مجموعة الدراسة (أ):٣٠ مشاركا (متوسط أعمارهم ٧٣.٦٣ عاماً)خضعوا للعلاجبتقنية الإهتزازات العلاجية مع الضغط بالإضافة لبروتوكول العلاج الطبيعي الروتيني بمعدل ثلاثة جلسات إسبوعياً علي مدي ١٢ أسبوعاً متتالية، بينما المجموعة الضابطة (ب): ٣٠ مشاركا (متوسط أعمارهم ٧٥.٥٣ عاماً) خضعوا للعلاجوفقا لبروتوكول العلاج الطبيعي الروتيني بمعدل ثلاثة جلسات إسبوعياً علي مدي ١٢ أسبوعاً متتالية. وتمتقييم الوزن ومؤشر كتلة الجسم؛ ومحيط الخصرونسبة محيط الخصر لمحيط الورك، وكذلك ملف الدهون الإيضيمؤشر جودة الحياة المختصرلجميع المشاركين في كل المجموعتين وتبعه تحليل إحصائي تفصيلي. النتيجة:لم يتبين وجود فروقاً ذات دلالة إحصائية قبل البدء بالدراسة (P>٠.٠٥). كما أتضح وجود تسحن ذا دلالة إحصائية بالوزن ومؤشر كتلة الجسم، الخصرونسبة محيط الخصر لمحيط الورك، وكذلك ملف الدهون الإيضيومؤشر جودة الحياة المختصربكلا مجموعتي الدراسة (٠.٨، ٢٣.٢، ١٣.٥، ٣٦.٤،٢١.٦و٣١.٨ لمجموعة الدراسة بينما كانت ٠.٣، ٦.٧، ٣.٨، ٤٩.٦،١٩.٩و٢٦.٣ للمجموعة الضابطة)بعد تنفيذ العلاج؛ مع تحسن أكبر بمجموعة الدراسة.(0.001).الخلاصة:يعد إضافة الإهتزازات العلاجية لبرنامجالعلاج الطبيعي التقليدي سبيلاً فعالاًلتحسن نوعي لدي من يعانون من نقص كفاءة عمل الأوردة لدي كبار السن. |
