| Summary, etc. | This study explores the corrosion inhibition efficiency of Swiss chard stem (SCS) and green pea peel (GPP) extracts as eco-friendly inhibitors on aluminum in 1 M HCl using weight loss (WL), potentiodynamic polarization, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy techniques. Both inhibitors have a direct relation between the inhibition efficiency and the temperature. WL measurements revealed that at 250 ppm and 55°C, the inhibition efficiencies of SCS and GPP were 91.5% and 83.05%, respectively. Surface protection was validated by AFM and XPS analyses. Quantum chemical calculations identified the key inhibitory constituents, while molecular dynamics simulations revealed the adsorption behavior of SCS and GPP on aluminum. Extraction costs were evaluated and benchmarked against previously reported inhibitors. |

| Summary, etc. | تتناول الدراسة كفاءة تثبيط التآكل لمستخلصي سيقان السلق وقشور البازلاء الخضراء كمثبطات صديقة للبيئة لتآكل الألمنيوم في وسط يحتوي على 1 مولار من حمض الهيدروكلوريك، باستخدام تقنيات الفقد الوزني، الاستقطاب الجهدي الديناميكي، ومطيافية المعاوقة الكهروكيميائية. أظهرت النتائج أن كفاءة التثبيط لكلا المثبطين تزداد مع ارتفاع درجة الحرارة. وكشفت قياسات الفقد الوزني أنه عند تركيز 250 جزء في المليون ودرجة حرارة 55 مئوية، بلغت كفاءة التثبيط لمستخلص سيقان السلق 91.5% ولمستخلص قشور البازلاء 83.05%. تم التأكد من وجود طبقة واقية على سطح الألمنيوم باستخدام تحليل مجهر القوة الذرية ومطيافية الأشعة السينية الإلكتروضوئية. كما حددت الحسابات الكيميائية الكمية المركبات النشطة المسؤولة عن التثبيط، وأظهرت محاكاة الديناميكا الجزيئية سلوك امتزاز المستخلصين على سطح الألمنيوم. كما تم تقييم تكلفة الاستخلاص ومقارنتها بمثبطات أخرى طبقاً للدراسات السابقة. |
