| Summary, etc. | In the current thesis, white bean straw (WBS), an underutilized agricultural residue, is <br/>investigated as a low-cost biosorbent for the removal of with various classes of dyes, <br/>including Malachite Green (MG), a cationic dye; Alizarin Red S (ARS), an anionic <br/>dye; and Methyl Red (MR), an anionic azo dye. from aqueous solutions. To enhance <br/>its adsorption capacity for ARS, WBS was modified by loading it with aluminum oxide <br/>nanoparticles (Al₂O₃-NPs) synthesized from recycled aluminum beverage cans. This <br/>green synthesis approach not only adds value to agricultural and urban waste but also <br/>contributes to circular economy strategies by promoting waste-to-resource conversion. <br/>The adsorption performance of the biosorbent was evaluated through batch <br/>experiments under different conditions. This was addressed by determining the effects <br/>of temperature, pH, adsorbent dose, contact time, particle size, and dye concentration <br/>on the adsorption efficiency |
