| Summary, etc. | هدف هذا البحث إلى تنمية التحصيل في العلوم ومهارات التفكير لدى تلاميذ الصف الثاني المتوسط بالمملكة العربية السعودية باستخدام برنامج مقترح في العلوم قائم على توجهات الاختبارات الدولية. وللتحقق من فاعلية البرنامج المقترح، تم إعداد مادتي البحث التعليميتين "كراسة نشاط التلميذ ودليل المعلم"، كما تم إعداد أداتي البحث "الاختبار التحصيلي في العلوم ومقياس حل المشكلات إبداعياً". وتم استخدام المنهج الوصفي لإعداد البرنامج المقترح ومادتيه التعليميتين وأداتي البحث، واستخدام المنهج التجريبي من خلال استخدام التصميم شبه التجريبي ذو المجموعة التجريبية الواحدة مع التطبيق القبلي والبعدي لأدوات البحث للتأكد من فاعلية البرنامج المقترح في تنمية التحصيل ومهارات التفكير لدى تلاميذ الصف الثاني المتوسط. وشملت مجموعة البحث (40) من تلاميذ الصف الثاني المتوسط بمدرسة زيد بن الخطاب المتوسطة التابعة للإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة تبوك بالمملكة العربية السعودية. وأسفرت نتائج البحث عن وجود حجم تأثير كبير وفاعلية للبرنامج المقترح القائم على توجهات الاختبارات الدولية في تنمية التحصيل في العلوم ومهارات التفكير لدى تلاميذ الصف الثاني متوسط بالمملكة العربية السعودية، وأوصى الباحث بتطوير مناهج العلوم في ضوء متطلبات توجهات الاختبارات الدولية. |

| Summary, etc. | The research aimed to develop achievement in science and thinking skills of the second-grade intermediate-stage pupils in KSA, by using a proposed program in science based on trends of the international assessments. To verify its effectiveness, the two educational research materials were prepared "a pupil activity booklet and teacher's guide. Then the research tools "an achievement test, and a Creative problem-solving scale were prepared.The descriptive approach was used to prepare the program, its two educational materials and research tools. The experimental approach was used through the semi-experimental design with the one-group design with the pre-and post-applications of research tools. The research group included (40) pupils of second-grade intermediate-stage students in KSA. The results explain the large-scale effect and the effectiveness of the proposed program based on the trends of international assessments in developing the achievement and thinking skills of second-grade intermediate-stage pupils in KSA. The researcher recommended developing science curricula in the light of the requirements of international trends of international assessments. |
