| Summary, etc. | Fungal infections are a widely spread cause of a wide range of contagious zoonotic diseases, affecting both humans and animals. This disease is caused by a diverse group of fungi, including both mold and yeast. Despite the wide distribution of fungal cases throughout the world and its adverse clinical effect on human health, economic effects on productive animals, and pet animal welfare, there is no approved vaccine or adopted vaccination strategy for such a disease. The current study tried to accomplish the difficult equation by developing more than one quality-controlled pan-fungal vaccine candidate based on the main criteria for vaccine development and production that would greatly help in its establishment as a cornerstone in any current or upcoming national or international control strategy for a fungal disease. The developed vaccines’ physical properties, purity, sterility, safety, and potency were ensured. The protective efficacy of the developed and prepared vaccine candidates was determined using a challenge test in laboratory animals, where around 85% (according to the developed experimental model) protection rate was achieved. The developed pan-fungal vaccine candidates proved to be effective and provided significant protective efficacy against different fungal infection models. Therefore, the current work introduces a very promising mitigative and strategic control solution for the widespread fungal diseases. |

| Summary, etc. | تُعدّ الإصابات الفطرية سببًا واسع الانتشار لمجموعة كبيرة من الأمراض المعدية المشتركة التي تصيب الإنسان والحيوان على حد سواء. وتنجم هذه الأمراض عن طيف متنوع من الفطريات يشمل الأعفان والخمائر. وعلى الرغم من الانتشار الواسع للحالات الفطرية عالميًا وتأثيراتها السريرية السلبية على صحة الإنسان، إضافةً إلى آثارها الاقتصادية على الحيوانات المنتِجة ورفاهية حيوانات الرفقة، فلا يوجد حتى الآن لقاح مُعتمد أو استراتيجية تطعيم مُطبَّقة للسيطرة على هذه الأمراض. سعت الدراسة الحالية إلى تحقيق معادلة صعبة من خلال تطوير أكثر من مرشّح لقاح شامل مضاد للفطريات، خاضع لرقابة جودة صارمة، اعتمادًا على المعايير الأساسية لتطوير وإنتاج اللقاحات، بما يُسهم بشكل كبير في ترسيخه كركيزة أساسية ضمن أي استراتيجية وطنية أو دولية حالية أو مستقبلية لمكافحة الأمراض الفطرية. وقد جرى التأكد من الخصائص الفيزيائية للقاحات المطوّرة، ونقاوتها، وتعقيمها، وسلامتها، وقوتها المناعية. كما تم تحديد الفاعلية الوقائية لمرشّحات اللقاح المطوّرة والمحضّرة باستخدام اختبار التحدّي في حيوانات المختبر، حيث تحقّق معدل حماية يقارب ٨٥٪ (وفقًا للنموذج التجريبي المطوّر). وقد أثبتت مرشّحات اللقاح الشامل المضاد للفطريات فاعليتها وقدّمت كفاءة وقائية ملحوظة ضد نماذج مختلفة من العدوى الفطرية. وبناءً على ذلك، يقدّم هذا العمل حلًا واعدًا واستراتيجيًا للتخفيف والسيطرة على الأمراض الفطرية واسعة الانتشار. |
