| Summary, etc. | Obesity has become a worldwide epidemic accompanied by significant <br/>adverse health effects Individuals with very high body mass index (BMI > 40 <br/>kg/m2) or obese subjects with BMI in the range of 35–40 kg/m2 with one of the <br/>obesity-associated complications are elected for surgery. Additionally, patients <br/>with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) who have insufficient blood glucose control on <br/>traditional therapy may be referred to bariatric surgery even when having a BMI <br/>value below 35 kg/m2 .LSG proved effective in promoting weight loss for <br/>individuals with a BMI < 50 kg/m2, those classified as having super obesity may <br/>encounter less favorable weight reduction outcomes after undergoing LSG. <br/><br/>The Single Anastomosis Sleeve Ileal Bypass (SASI) procedure combines <br/>aspects of two well-established procedures: Sleeve Gastrectomy and Ileal <br/>Transposition. The additional step of rerouting a section of the small intestine <br/>typically the ileum, to connect with the remaining stomach. This rearrangement <br/>alters the normal digestive pathway, potentially influencing hormonal and <br/>metabolic factors. The goal is to enhance the positive effects on weight loss and <br/>metabolic health, particularly in relation to type 2 diabetes .While SASI bypass <br/>is still a relatively new procedure, early research suggests promising outcomes <br/>in terms of weight loss and metabolic improvement. |

| Summary, etc. | أصبحت عملية تكميم المعدة بالمنظار بسبب سهولتها التقنية وانخفاض معدلات الإصابة والمضاعفات، الطريقة الأكثر استخدامًا في العلاج الجراحي للسمنة المفرطة. كما أثبتت أيضا عملية تكميم المعدة فعاليتها في تعزيز فقدان الوزن لدى الأفراد الذين لديهم مؤشر كتلة جسم أقل من 50 كجم/م2، وقد يواجه أولئك المصنفون على أنهم يعانون من سمنة مفرطة نتائج أقل ملاءمة لفقدان الوزن بعد الخضوع <br/>لا تزال عملية توصيل الامعاء بنقطة واحدة بعد التكميم (SASI) إجراءً جديدًا نسبيًا، وتشير الأبحاث المبكرة إلى نتائج واعدة من حيث فقدان الوزن وتحسين التمثيل الغذائي.<br/>أجرينا دراسة مقارنة مستقبلية شملت 100 مريض مُصنفين إلى مجموعتين، 50 مريضًا لكل مجموعة في مستشفيات جامعة القاهرة بين يناير 2024 ويوليو 2025.<br/>في هذه الدراسة، هدفنا إلى المقارنة بين عملية تكميم المعدة بالمنظار (LSG) وعملية توصيل الامعاء بنقطة واحدة بعد التكميم (SASI) في فقدان الوزن والأمراض المصاحبة، وخاصة ارتفاع ضغط الدم ومرض السكري.<br/> أظهرت النتائج أن عملية توصيل الامعاء بنقطة واحدة بعد التكميم (SASI) أكثر فعالية في إنقاص الوزن ونسبة فقدان الوزن الزائد ومؤشر كتلة الجسم بعد 6 أشهر من عملية تكميم المعدة بالمنظار (LSG). |
