Summary, etc. This study aims to utilize corn cob biomass for the production of sustainable adsorbent materials to treat dye-contaminated wastewater. Three adsorbents were prepared: activated carbon (AC), manganese oxide-loaded activated carbon (N MnO₂-AC), and copper oxide-loaded activated carbon (N CuO-AC). All three materials exhibited high efficiency, significant adsorption capacity, and excellent dye removal performance. Kinetic studies indicated that the adsorption process followed the pseudo-second-order model, while equilibrium data were well fitted to the Langmuir model. A case study using real industrial wastewater confirmed the practical effectiveness of the three adsorbents under realistic conditions. From an economic perspective, the alternative materials were compared with conventional commercial adsorbents, and the results revealed the superiority of the alternatives in terms of cost-effectiveness. Among them, activated carbon proved to be the least expensive and the most feasible option, highlighting its strong potential for large-scale, sustainable wastewater treatment applications.

Summary, etc. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى استخدام الكتلة الحيوية لكوالح الذرة في إنتاج مواد ماصة مستدامة لمعالجة مياه الصرف الملوثة بالأصباغ. تم تحضير ثلاث مواد ماصة: الكربون النشط (AC)، والكربون النشط المحمّل بأكسيد المنجنيز (N MnO₂-AC)، والكربون النشط المحمّل بأكسيد النحاس (N CuO-AC). أظهرت جميع المواد كفاءة عالية وسعة امتصاص مرتفعة ونسبة إزالة مميزة للأصباغ. اتبعت المواد في دراسات الحركية نموذج المرتبة الثانية الزائفة، بينما توافق الاتزان مع نموذج لانجمير. كما أظهرت دراسة حالة على مياه صرف صناعية حقيقية فعالية المواد الثلاث. من الناحية الاقتصادية، تمت مقارنة المواد البديلة بالمواد الصناعية التجارية، وأظهرت النتائج تفوق المواد البديلة من حيث الجدوى والتكلفة، حيث كان الكربون النشط الأقل سعراً والأكثر قابلية للتطبيق على نطاق واسع.
