| Summary, etc. | Background: Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), is associated with a significant decline in pulmonary function, which delays the recovery and prolong the hospitalization. Early low-resisted exercise (ELRE) combined with blood flow restriction (BFR) has emerged as a novel approach to overcome these complications without imposing excessive mechanical load.<br/>Purpose: The present study was conducted to investigate the effect of ELRE with BFR on pulmonary function in post cardiac surgery patient<br/>Methods: Fifty male patients enrolled after cardiac surgery in phase I cardiac rehabilitation, age ranged from 45 to 60 years, assigned randomly in two group; study group (received conventional cardiac rehabilitation in addition to ELRE with BFR) and control group (received the same conventional cardiac rehabilitation only). The program conducted once the patient out of ICU for 45 minute / session, 1 session / day for 14 consecutive days. Evaluation of the following outcomes performed before and after rehabilitation. Pulmonary function test (PFT), Six-Minute Walk Test (6MWT), Hand grip strength (HGS) and C-reactive protein (CRP).<br/>Results: The results revealed that there was statistically significant difference in mean value of forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV1) with (P<0.001), forced vital capacity (FVC) with (P < 0.001), HGS between groups post treatment with (P<0.001). While there was no statistically significant difference in mean value of 6MWT (P = 0.470) and CRP level (P = 0.700).<br/>Conclusion: ELRE with BFR is useful and effective therapeutic method to improve pulmonary function and HGS in patient post cardiac surgery, so it is important to engage ELRE with BFR within the protocol of treatment |

| Summary, etc. | الخلفية:ترتبط جراحة تحويل مسار الشريان التاجي غالبًا بانخفاض ملحوظ في وظائف الرئة ،مما يؤدي إلي تأخير التعافي وإطالة فترة البقاء في المستشفي وقد ظهرت التمارين المقاومة الخفيفة المصحوبة بتقييد تدفق الدم كنهج علاجي واعد لتجاوزهذه المضاعفات دون تحميل ميكانيكي مفرط علي الجسم<br/>الهدف:أجريت هذه الدراسة للتحقق من تأثير التمرينات المبكره ذات المقاومه المنخفضه مع تقييد تدفق الدم علي الوظيفه الرئوية في مرضي ما بعد جراحة القلب.<br/>الطرق: شملت الدراسة خمسين مريضًا من الذكور البالغين، تتراوح أعمارهم بين 45 و60 عامًا،. تم توزيعهم عشوائيًا إلى مجموعتين. مجموعة الدراسة: تلقت تأهيل القلب التقليدي بالإضافة إلى التمارين المبكرة ذات المقاومة المنخفضة مع تقييد تدفق الدم ، المجموعة الضابطة : تلقت نفس تأهيل القلب التقليدي فقط . بدأ البرنامج فور خروج المرضى من وحدة العناية المركزة، واستمر لمدة 14 يومًا متتاليًا، بمعدل جلسة واحدة يوميًا لمدة 45 دقيقة. تم التقييم قبل وبعد فترة التأهيل باستخدام اختبارات وظائف الرئة ، واختبار المشي لمدة ست دقائق وجهاز قياس قوة القبضة اليدوية ، بالإضافة إلى قياس مستوى بروتين سي التفاعلي.<br/>النتائج: كشفت النتائج عن وجود فرق ذات دلالة إحصائية في متوسط قيمة الوظائف الرئوية و قوة قبضة اليد بعد العلاج لصالح مجموعة الدراسة .بينما لم تظهر النتائج فروق ذات دلالة احصائية في القدرة الوظيفية أو مستوي بروتين سي التفاعلي بين المجموعتين بعد العلاج. <br/>الاستنتاج: استنادًا إلى نتائج هذه الدراسة، يمكن الاستنتاج بأن التمرينات المبكرة ذات المقاومة المنخفضة مع تقييد تدفق الدم وسيلة علاج فعالة و امنة في تحسين ال الوظائف الرئوية و قوة قبضة اليد في مرضي ما بعد جراحة القلب. لذا، من المهم ادراج التمرينات المبكرة ذات المقاومة المنخفضة مع تقييد تدفق الدم ضمن بروتوكول تأهيل القلب التقليدي في مرضي ما بعد جراحة القلب. |
