| Summary, etc. | تتناول الدراسة إدمان استخدام مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي وعلاقته بمعدلات القلق لدى الشباب وذلك في إطار مفهوم الخوف من فوات الأشياء"FOMO"، واعتمدت الدراسة على الأسس الفكرية لنظريتي (الاستخدام التعويضي للإنترنت والمقارنة الاجتماعية)، كما اعتمدت على نموذج الوساطة المعدلة لدراسة العلاقة بين المتغيرات المختلفة بالدراسة، واستخدمت هذه الدراسة الوصفية منهج المسح الميداني بشقيه الوصفي والاستدلالي، من خلال مسح عينة من الشباب المصري قوامها (488) مبحوث الذين تتراوح أعمارهم من 18 إلى 35 سنة من مستخدمي مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي.وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى العديد من النتائج، أبرزها أن أكثر من نصف الشباب عينة الدراسة يقعون ضمن فئة الإدمان المتوسط لمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، مما يعكس انتشار هذا النمط من الاستخدام بينهم وارتباطه ببعض السلوكيات الإدمانية، كما كشفت النتائج عن وجود نسبة من الشباب ضمن فئة الإدمان المرتفع، وأظهرت النتائج ارتفاع معدلات القلق لدى الشباب المصري عينة الدراسة، فقد تركزت النسبة الأكبر من المبحوثين ضمن فئة القلق المرتفع. وتبين من خلال النتائج أيضًا أن أن وجود علاقة ارتباطية طردية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين معدلات إدمان الشباب المصري لمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي ومعدلات القلق لديهم، وتتأثر هذه العلاقة بمستويات الخوف من فوات الأشياء لدى الشباب (الفومو). |

| Summary, etc. | This study examines social media addiction and its relationship with anxiety levels among youth within the Context of the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) concept. The study is based on the theoretical foundations of the Compensatory Internet Use Theory and the Social Comparison Theory, and it employs a moderated mediation model to examine the interplay between these variables. This descriptive study employs a field survey method, combining both descriptive and inferential approaches, by surveying a sample of (488) Egyptian youth aged 18 to 35 years who are active social media users.<br/>The findings indicate that the majority of participants exhibit moderate levels of social media addiction, highlighting the widespread nature of this behavior and its association with addictive tendencies. Additionally, a segment of the sample falls into the high addiction category, the study also reveals elevated anxiety levels among the participants, with a significant proportion classified within the high anxiety category. Moreover, the results confirm a positive and statistically significant correlation between social media addiction and anxiety levels, with FOMO playing a mediating role in this relationship. |
