| Summary, etc. | Thirty implants were placed and immediately loaded in thirty patients which were equally divided into three groups. In the control group, the healing phase was left to progress spontaneously without any intervention, while in the laser group it was augmented with low level laser therapy, and in the ultrasound group the patients were subjected to LIPU through an ultrasound device. Patients in all groups were given vitamin C, calcium and omega-3 starting one month preoperatively. All the patients were subjected to digital orthopanographs. The radiographic assessment was carried out through these periods using Digora software. There was a statistically significant cumulative effect in bone density along bone-implant interface of all groups per time through the different follow up intervals.However, the rate of increase was significantly higher in the laser group where it started earlier and was sustained in the three zones in the laser group when compared to the slower and more delayed increase in bone density in the ultrasound and control groups. While no statistically significance difference was found between Control and Ultrasound groups.The low intensity laser irradiation significantly promoted bone healing surrounding immediately loaded titanium implants |
