| Summary, etc. | Background: Rheumatoid arthritis is reported to be a major health problem worldwide. Till now there is no cure for rheumatoid arthritis, treatment focuses on management of symptoms. Purposes :To compare between the effect of Siwa{u2019}s sandbath and sulphurous water bath on Rheumatoid arthritis patients. Materials and Methods: 45 patient with Rheumatoid arthritis from both sexes were involved; their ages ranged between35-50 years. Patients were divided into three equal groups. Group(A) :received Siwa{u2019}s sandbath and exercise. Group(B): received sulphurous water bath and exercise.Group(C): received physical therapy exercise only, for seven days. Inflammatory biomarkers (RF, ESR, and CRP), pain intensity, activities of daily living and flexion extension range of motion of dominant wrist were measured for all groups pre, post treatment and after one month follow up . Results:The results showed that after 7 days of treatment there were significant differences between groups in all measured variables in favor of group B, While at 1-month follow-up, the analysis showed significant differences between groups in all measured variables in favor of group A .Conclusion:Sulphrous waterbath is more effective on short term treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis patients than Siwa{u2019}s sandbath. Siwa{u2019}s sandbath is more effective on long term treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis patient than sulphurous waterbath as regarded to inflammatory biomarkers, pain intensity, functional activities of daily living and wrist range of motion |

| Summary, etc. | مقدمه: التهاب المفاصل الروماتويدي يمثل مشكلة صحية رئيسية في جميع أنحاء العالمالاهداف:تهدف الرسالة إلى مقارنه بين تأثير حمامات سيوه الرملية و حمامات المياه الكبريتية على مرض التهاب المفاصل الروماتويدي.الخطوات:خمسه وأربعون مريضا من مرضى التهاب المفاصل الروماتويدي من الجنسين تتراوح أعمارهم بين٣٥-٥٠ عاما،تم تقسيمهم إلى ثلاث مجموعات.المجموعة الأولى: اخذت حمامات سيوه الرملية لمدة 20 دقيقة بالإضافة إلى التمارين العلاجيةالمعتادة، المجموعةالثانية: اخذت حمامات مياه كبريتيه لمدة 20 دقيقة بالإضافة الى التمارين العلاجية المعتادة ، أما المجموعةالثالثةاخذت التمارين العلاجية المعتادة فقط،تم عمل سبعه جلسات متتالية لكل المجموعات.تم قياس نسبه المؤشرات الحيوية للالتهاب (معامل الروماتيد،سرعه الترسيب، بروتين سيالتفاعلي)، شدة الألم ،النشاط اليومي، وايضا المدى الحركي لمفصل الرسغ، قبل العلاج وبعد العلاج وبعد شهر من العلاج.<br/>النتائج: جميع المجموعات أظهرت تحسن بعد العلاج: المجموعة الأولى اظهرت تحسن بعد شهر من العلاج أفضل من بعد العلاج مباشرة، المجموعة الثانية أظهرت تحسن بعد العلاج مباشرة افضل من بعد العلاج بشهر، المجموعة الثالثة أظهرت التحسن بعد العلاج مباشرة افضل من بعد العلاج . وبالمقارنة بين المجموعات اتضح أن العلاج حمامات المياه الكبريتيه له تأثير افضل من حمامات سيوه الرملية بعد العلاج مباشره، ولكن بعد العلاج بشهر يظهر لنا ان حمامات سيوه الرملية لها تأثير افضل من حمامات المياه الكبريتيه على المدى البعيد.<br/>الخلاصة: حمامات سيوه الرملية لها تأثير افضل من حمامات المياه الكبريتيه على المدى البعيد بالنسبه لمؤشرات الالتهاب الحيويه، شدة الالم، النشاط اليومى ،والمدى الحركى لمفصل الرسغ فى حالات مرض التهاب المفاصل الروماتويدي. |
