| Summary, etc. | Optical coherence tomography (OCT) following ILM peeling after macular hole (MH) surgery has showed the dynamic sealing process with two main drawbacks including foveal tissue elongation and macular migration. In addition, there is a significant correlation between these morphologic changes and visual function such as metamorphopsia . Also there are reports of reduced retinal sensitivity in the peeled area and para-central scotomata . Latest technique to manage macular holes, using a human amniotic membrane (hAM) plug implanted in the retina, has encouraging results and shows the possibility of retinal tissue regeneration . The current study will assess the efficacy of hAM patch in MH closure in terms of anatomical success and restoration of foveal microstructure and improvement of best corrected visual acuity (BCVA). The procedure will not include ILM peeling. Conclusion: The hAM patch for primary FTMH repair, without ILM peeling, is an effective, and reproducible technique in improving the final BCVA and promotion of hole closure. |

| Summary, etc. | أحدث تقنية لعلاج ثقب المقوله بإستخدام رقعه الغشاء الامنيوسي البشري المزروعة تحت شبكية العين أظهرت نتائج مشجعة وإمكانية تجديد أنسجة الشبكية. منذ أن أدخل كيلي وويندل تقنية استئصال الجسم الزجاجي من اجل اصلاح ثقب المقوله حدث تقدم كبير في تقنياتالعلاج الجراحي تتضمن استئصال الجسم الزجاجي، وفصل الطبقة الخلفيه للجسم الزجاجي عن الشبكيه، وتقشير الغشاء الداخلي المحدد للشبكية، و حقن غاز الشبكيه. كما ثبتت فعاليه تقشير الغشاء الداخلي المحدد للشبكيه لتحسين معدلات نجاح الجراحة. أظهر التصوير المقطعي للماقولة أنه بعد تقشير الغشاء الداخلي المبطن للشبكية أثناء إصلاح ثقب الماقولة وجود عيبين رئيسيين بما في ذلك استطالة الأنسجة بمركز الابصار و تغيير مكان مركز الابصار. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، هناك ارتباط كبير بين هذه التغيرات في شكل الشبكيه والابصار مثل عدم انتظام الاشكال المرئيه. أيضا هناك تقارير عن انخفاض حساسية الشبكية في المنطقة المقشورة وظهور بقع مظلمه بفحص مجال الابصار |
