Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Chemical Engineering Summary: In this thesis , the effect of engineering parameters on contaminated soil remediation were studied to investigate systematically the optimum conditions for soil treatment with respect to efficiencies of recovery of initial soil characteristics . From the above investigations it may be concluded that the solvent extraction of petroleum contamination soil is the most promising technology for soil remediation
