Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.)-Cairo University, 2024. Summary: This study was cross sectional analytic study. The subjects of the study were one hundred female patients, their ages ranged from 20 to 50 years old who underwent breast cancer surgeries and started to participate in the current study on 3rd to 6th week post–surgery. The procedure of the study started by translation of the English version of DASI into Arabic (forward and backward translation process). The pre–final version of DASI was reviewed and analyzed by 10 experts. To validate the final version of DASI questionnaire, an additional panel of 10 experts with expertise in the topic studied was formed for the validation process. Patients were requested to answer all items of the final Arabic version of DASI questionnaire to be tested and retested after one week apart for reliability assessment. The Arabic version of DASI proved to be a valid, reliable, and feasible tool to be used with patients post breast cancer surgeries to aid in assessing their functional capacity. Summary: شاركت مائة مريضة في هذه الدراسة، بين الأسبوعين الثالث والسادس بعد الجراحة. تمت هذه الدراسة في مركز الأورام والطب النووي، كلية الطب، جامعة القاهرة ومستشفى دار السلام للأورام، وزارة الصحة. وقد جرت عملية الترجمة في خمس خطوات: الترجمة الأمامية، تجميع الترجمة، الترجمة الخلفية، استعراض الخبراء واختبار النسخة ما قبل النهائية بمساعدة الخبراء. واستُخدمت مؤشرات مثل مؤشر الوضوح، مؤشر صحة المحتوى، نسبة الاستعانة بالخبراء في الصلة، الإحصاء الوصفي، الوقت اللازم للإجابة على الاستبيان، معامل كرونباخ ألفا ومعامل الارتباط للتحليل الإحصائي. أثبتت النسخة العربية من مؤشر الدوك أنها أداة صالحة وموثوقة وعملية للاستخدام مع المرضى الناطقين باللغة العربية وبعد جراحات سرطان الثدي للمساعدة في تقييم القدرة الوظيفية
