يعد مخطوط جامع الفصولين للشيخ بدر الدين محمود بن إسرائيل بن قاضي سماونة (ت:823ه) أنموذجًا للأصالة والمعاصرة في زمانه، فقد جمع فيه المؤلف أصول المذهب، وأقوال الفقهاء في جميع الطبقات والبلدان حتى عصره، ومما يميز هذا المخطوط غزارة مصادر مصنفه وإكثاره من الاعتماد على أقوال الفقهاء، ويُعَدُّ جامع الفصولين عملًا موسوعيًا تتجلى فيه آثار الشريعة الإسلامية في ضبط أحكام المعاملات، كما أنه يُعَدُّ مرجعًا للقضاة والمفتين، ويرجع هذا إلى عمل بدر الدين كقاضٍ، ونشأته أيضًا في بيت قضاء وحُكم، وقد تأثر بهذا الكتاب علماء كُثُر، نقلا وتصنيفا ومناقشة وأجوبة عن تساؤلات وضعها المصنف داخل الكتاب
