تحاول هذه الدراسة تسليط الضوء على الأداء التعليمي لأروقة الأزهر في ظل عدم الاستقرار السياسي الذي أصاب مصر في القرن الثامن عشر؟ وإلى أي مدى كان للعلاقة بين الأروقة دورٌ في الحفاظ على المكانة العلمية للأزهر في ذلك الوقت؟ وإلى أي مدى كانت هذه الأروقة مؤهلة لتخريج كوادر قادرة على مساعدة المجتمع في امتلاك الكفاءة لمواجهة تحديات العصر؟ وما طبيعة الدراسة بالأروقة؟ ومجالاتها؟ والقائمين عليها؟ لتحديد ما إذا كانت هذه الأروقة قد ساهمت بإمكاناتها في توفير البنية التي قامت عليها تجربة التحديث في عصر محمد علي من عدمه، وكذلك الدرجات العلمية التي تمنحها؟ وإلى أي مدى توافرت للأروقة مكتبات، وما هي أليات تزويدها بالكتب؟ ونظم الاطلاع على مقتنياتها؟ وهل لعبت الأروقة دورًا في المجتمع المصري في ذلك الوقت؟ وقد اتخذت الدراسة من القرن الثامن عشر مجالًا لها بوصفه قرن التحول في تاريخ المجتمع المصري، والذي شهد مزيدًا من تراجع نفوذ الدولة العثمانية، وظهور البيوت المملوكية، وازدياد نفوذها، الأمر الذي أدى بالمجتمع المصري إلى أن يشهد حالة من عدم الاستقرار السياسي أثرت في كل جوانبه بما في ذلك الحياة العلمية والثقافية التي سيعاد النظر فيها فيما بعد وصول الحملة الفرنسية، وتقديمها الغرب للشرق بقدر ما قدمت مصر بكل مقوماتها وإمكاناتها للغرب.

This study attempts to shed light on the educational performance of Al-Azhar’s corridors in light of the political instability that struck Egypt in the eighteenth century? To what extent did the relationship between the corridors play a role in maintaining the scientific status of Al-Azhar at that time? To what extent were these corridors qualified to graduate cadres capable of helping society possess the competence to face the challenges of the times? What is the nature of studying in the hallways? And its fields? And those in charge of it? To determine whether or not these corridors contributed in their potential to providing the structure upon which the modernization experience was based in the era of Muhammad Ali, as well as the academic degrees they awarded? To what extent do the corridors have libraries, and what are the mechanisms for supplying them with books? And systems for accessing its holdings? Did the arcades play a role in Egyptian society at that time? The study took the eighteenth century as its field, as it was the century of transformation in the history of Egyptian society, which witnessed a further decline in the influence of the Ottoman Empire, the emergence of the Mamluk houses, and an increase in their influence, which led Egyptian society to witness a state of political instability that affected all its aspects. Including the scientific and cultural life, which will be reconsidered after the arrival of the French campaign, and the West’s presentation to the East as much as Egypt presented all its components and capabilities to the West.
