هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الكشف عن الدور الوسيط للاضطراب النفسي لدى أحد الوالدين في العلاقة بين إساءة المعاملة الوالدية والمشكلات السلوكية داخلية وخارجية المنشأ لدى الأطفال. أجريت الدراسة على عينة مكونة من (70) طفلًا وطفلة، تتراوح أعمارهم بين (8-12) سنة. تم تقسيمهم إلى مجموعتين: مجموعة الحالة (أطفال مصابون بالاضطراب النفسي ولديهم أحد الوالدين مصاب بالاضطراب النفسي)، وعددهم (35) طفلًا وطفلة، ومجموعة المقارنة (أطفال مصابون بالاضطراب النفسي ووالديهم من الأسوياء) وعددهم (35) طفلًا وطفلة. وتوصلت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة بين إساءة المعاملة الوالدية والمشكلات السلوكية لدى مجموعة أطفال الآباء الأسوياء، بينما لم توجد علاقة بين إساءة المعاملة الوالدية والمشكلات السلوكية لدى أطفال الآباء المصابين بالاضطراب النفسي. كما وُجدت علاقة ارتباطية بين الاضطراب النفسي لدى أحد الوالدين وإساءة المعاملة الوالدية، ولكن لم توجد علاقة بين الاضطراب النفسي لدى أحد الوالدين والمشكلات السلوكية لدى الأطفال. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، لم يكن للاضطراب النفسي لدى أحد الوالدين تأثير وسيط للعلاقة بين إساءة المعاملة الوالدية والمشكلات السلوكية لدى الأطفال. كما أظهرت الدراسة فروقًا دالة بين الذكور والإناث في بُعد الإساءة الجسمية فقط، وذلك في اتجاه الذكور، بينما لم توجد فروق دالة بين الذكور والإناث في نوع المشكلات السلوكية.
The current study aimed to reveal the mediator role of parental mental disorder in the relationship between parental abuse and internal/external behavioral problems among children. The sample consists of (70) boys and girls, aged between (8-12) years. They were divided into two groups: the case group (children with a mental disorder and one parent with a mental disorder), consisting of (35) boys and girls, and the comparison group (children with a mental disorder and normal parents), also consisting of (35) boys and girls. The results revealed a relationship between parental abuse and behavioral problems in the group of children with normal parents, while no relationship was found between parental abuse and behavioral problems among children with parents with mental disorders. Additionally, a correlational relationship was found between parental mental disorder and parental abuse, but no relationship was found between parental mental disorder and behavioral problems among children. Furthermore, parental mental disorder did not have a mediating effect on the relationship between parental abuse and behavioral problems among children. The study also showed significant differences between males and females in the physical abuse only, with higher levels observed among males, while no significant differences were found between males and females in the types of behavioral problems.
