تتناول الدراسة نظام البريد وإسهاماته السياسيّة في عصري المرابطين والموحدين، وبيان أثره على المجتمع المغربي والأندلسي في تلك الفترة، لقد كان البريد من الوظائف الإدارية المهمة التي لا غنى عنها داخل أيّ دولة، شأنه في ذلك شأن القضاء والحِسبة، أو الشُّرطة وغيرها من النظم الإدارية الجديرة بالدراسة، فمن مقر السلطة بالعاصمة مرّاكش تخرج الرسائل البريدية متجهةً إلى مختلف أقاليم الدولة داخل المغرب، أو خارجه، بالأندلس وبلاد السودان
كذلك استفاد العلماء والفقهاء والقضاة في تلك الفترة بالمغرب والأندلس من مهنة البريد، فكانوا يتواصلون فيما بينهم عبر تبادل الرسائل ومن خلال رسل بريد كانوا ضمن خدمهم، خاصين بهم قائمين على مهمة توصيل رسائلهم الخاصة مع أقرانهم من العلماء داخل المغرب أو بالأندلس؛ أو حتى مع علماء المشرق.

The current study exhibits mail system and its political contributions in Almorabeteen and Almohadeen eras, and proven its impact on Moroccan and Andalusian society in that period, the mail was one of the important administrative functions that are indispensable within any state, as well as the judiciary and hisbah, or the police and other administrative systems worth studying, from the headquarters of power in the capital Marrakesh go out postal messages heading to the various regions of the state inside or outside Morocco in Andalusia and Sudan.
Furthermore, scientists and others like fakhis and judges make use of the profession of post workers during this period in Moroco and andalus from the profession of post- worker as They communicated with each other through the exchange of letters and through postmen who were among their servants, their own, in charge of the task of delivering their private messages with their peers of scholars in Morocco or Andalusia, even with the scholars of the East.
