تهدف الدراسة إلى إماطة اللثام عن تاريخ هذه مدينة أزنيق، والجانب الفني والمعماري بها، على الرغم من الضرر الذي ألحقته الحرب اليونانية التركية بالعديد من العمائر الدينية الموجودة بتلك المدينة؛ إلا أن ما تبقى في المدينة من تلك العمائر يكفي لأن نقوم بدراستها دراسة تفصيلية وتحليلية متعمقة لطرز تلك العمائر الدينية من مساجد وزوايا بأنماطها المتعددة سواء من حيث التصميم المعماري ومفرداته المتنوعة، وبقية المفردات والعناصر المعمارية والنقوش الكتابية والزخرفية. هذا وقد اتبعت الباحثة المنهج العلمي السليم في تناول مفردات موضوعها، وعولت على العديد من المصادر والمراجع العربية والتركية والأجنبية، وبذلت جهد كبير في أعمال الدراسة الميدانية لعمائر مدينة إزنيق الدينية، رغم ما واجهته من صعاب وعراقيل؛ وهو الأمر الذي أَهَلها للخروج بدراسة علمية موثقة عن هذه العمائر، فضلاً عن النتائج والإضافات التي انتهت إليها.

The study aims to unveil the history of this city of Iznik, and its artistic and architectural aspects, despite the damage caused by the Greco-Turkish war to many of the religious buildings in that city; however, what remains in the city of those buildings is enough for us to study them in a detailed and in-depth analytical study of the styles of those religious buildings from mosques and corners with their various styles, whether in terms of architectural design and its various components, and the rest of the components and architectural elements, written and decorative inscriptions.
The researcher followed the correct scientific method in addressing the components of her subject, and relied on many Arab, Turkish and foreign sources and references, and made a great effort in the field study work of the religious buildings of the city of Iznik, despite the difficulties and obstacles she faced; which qualified her to come up with a documented scientific study of these buildings, in addition to the results and additions she reached.
