تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى بيان أسباب تطور دور الشرطة التقليدي وتوسع وزارة الداخلية المصرية في تقديم الأدوار الاجتماعية وسعيها لتحسين جودة الخدمات الإدارية التي تقدمها، مع عرض بعض الجهود التي تبذلها الوزارة في تطوير الخدمات والتوسع في تقديم الخدمات الإجتماعية، وأيضا تقييم هذه الأدوار الإدارية والاجتماعية ومدى تأثيرها على شعور المواطنين بالأمن والأمان من وجهة نظر كلاً من مقدمي ومتلقي هذه الخدمات. ولقد حققت الدراسة هذه الأهداف من خلال منهج دراسة الحالة واقتراب تحليل النظم، حيث توصلت الدراسة عقب جمع نتائج الاستبيان من المبحوثين وتحليلها إحصائياً إلى أن هناك علاقة طردية موجبة بين الدور الإداري والاجتماعي للشرطة وبين شعور المواطنين بالأمن والأمان.

This study aims to elucidate the reasons behind the evolution of the traditional role of the police and the expansion of the Egyptian Ministry of Interior in providing social roles, as well as its efforts to improve the quality of administrative services it offers. It also highlights some of the ministry's efforts in developing services and expanding social services, as well as evaluating these administrative and social roles and their impact on citizens' sense of security from the perspective of both providers and recipients of these services. The study achieves these goals through the case study method and systems analysis approach. After collecting and statistically analyzing the survey results from the respondents, the study finds a positive correlation between the administrative and social roles of the police and citizens' sense of security.
