تنقسم الرسالة إلى مقدمة وتمهيد وستة أبواب الباب الأول يتضمن الدراسة الوصفية, الباب الثانى عن النصوص الخطية وهو يتضمن ثلاثة فصول الأول عن انواع الخطوط والثانى عن حرد المتن والثالث عن خوارج النص , الباب الثالث عن تصاوير الموضوعات الفنية ويتضمن تصاوير الحرم النبوى وتصاوير الحرم المكى ودراسة مقارنة , الباب الرابع عن التصميمات الفنية وعناصرها الزخرفية ويتضمن تصميم الصفحات والزخارف المتنوعة كالنباتية والهندسية وتصميمات الإبرو وزخارف الباروك , الباب الخامس عن فن التذهيب ويتضمن طرق اعداد مداد الذهب ومواضع التذهيب والمذهبون , الباب السداس عن فن التجليد ويتضمن خصائص الأغلفة والأساليب الصناعية لزخرفتها والمجلدون.
The thesis is divided into an introduction, a preface and six chapters. The first chapter includes a descriptive study. The second chapter is about written texts and includes three chapters: the first is about types of lines, the second is about the text’s edges and the third is about the text’s edges. The third chapter is about the depictions of artistic subjects and includes depictions of the Prophet’s Mosque and the Meccan Mosque and a comparative study. The fourth chapter is about artistic designs and their decorative elements and includes the design of pages and various decorations such as plant and geometric designs, needle designs and Baroque decorations. The fifth chapter is about the art of gilding and includes methods of preparing gold ink, places of gilding and gilders. The sixth chapter is about the art of binding and includes the characteristics of covers and industrial methods of their decoration and binders
