Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D)-Cairo University, 2021. Summary: stability after osteosynthesis with MAX VPC screw Methodology: 10 patients with symphyseal fractures were included in this study, they were divided on 2 groups of 5, the patients were assessed by Multislice CT scans. Study group received treatment with 2 Max Vpc screws, the control group received treatment with 2 lag screws. The outcomes that were studied were hardware installation time, stability of occlusion, interfragmentary stability, and pain. Results: The study was conducted on 10 patients, all cases went uneventful, the only significant difference was found in the hardware installation time favoring the study group. In all the other parameters (stability of occlusion, interfragmentary stability, and pain) no statistical difference was recorded. Conclusions: Treatment of symphyseal mandibular fractures with Max Vpc headless compression screws is a valid treatment modality that is comparable to other treatment modalities and presented a faster method of treatment.
