نشأ مفهوم الاقتصاد الأخضر عندما بدأ العالم في المطالبة بتضافر الجهود لمواجهة أزمة التغيرات المُناخية؛ بهدف التقليل من تأثيراتها على مُختلف المجالات، وأن هناك أهمية كبيرة للتحول نحو الاقتصاد الأخضر لمواجهة التحديات البيئية، وتحفيز النمو الاقتصادي، والقضاء على الفقر، وخلق فرص العمل. وتهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على دور الاقتصاد الأخضر في تحقيق النُمو الاقتصادي في السِنغال. ولتحقيق هذا الهدف اعتمدت الدراسة على الأسلوب الإحصائي والتحليلي؛ لعمل الإحصاءات، والتحليلات اللازمة لمُؤشرات النُمو الاقتصادي، ومُؤشرات الاقتصاد الأخضر في السِنغال، كما استخدمت الدراسة مصفوفة التحليل الرباعي (SWOT analysis)، حيث تقوم بتحليل نقاط القوة، ونقاط الضعف، والفُرص، والتهديدات التي تواجه دور الاقتصاد الأخضر في تحقيق النُمو الاقتصادي في السِنغال. وقد تم تقسيم الدراسة إلى أربعة فصول دون المُقدمة والخاتمة، وقد ألقى الفصل الأول الضوء على الإطار النظري للعلاقة بين الاقتصاد الأخضر والنمو الاقتصادي، وتناول الفصل الثاني دور الاقتصاد الأخضر وخطة السنغال الناشئة في تحقيق النمو الاقتصادي في السِنغال، وعرض الفصل الثالث لمؤشرات وسياسات واستراتيجيات الاقتصاد الأخضر وانعكاسها على النمو الاقتصادي في السنغال، وتناول الفصل الرابع تحليل دور الاقتصاد الأخضر في تحقيق النمو الاقتصادي في السنغال باستخدام مصفوفة التحليل الرباعي (SWOT analysis).

The concept of the green economy arose when the world began to demand concerted efforts to confront the climate change crisis with the aim of reducing its effects on various fields, and there is great importance for the shift towards the green economy to confront environmental challenges, stimulate economic growth, eliminate poverty, and create job opportunities. The study aims to identify the role of the green economy in achieving economic growth in Senegal. To achieve this goal, the study relied on the statistical and analytical method to conduct the necessary statistics and analyses of economic growth indicators and indicators of the green economy in Senegal. The study also used the SWOT analysis matrix, which analyses the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats facing the role of the green economy in achieving economic growth in Senegal. The study was divided into four chapters without an introduction and conclusion. The first chapter shed light on the theoretical framework of the relationship between the green economy and economic growth. The second chapter dealt with the role of the green economy in Senegal within the framework of Senegal’s emerging plan. The third chapter presented green economy indicators, policies, and strategies and their impact on economic growth in Senegal. The fourth chapter analysed the role of the green economy in achieving economic growth in Senegal using the SWOT analysis matrix
