ترى الدراسة أن الرواية الصوفية لم تتبلور في السرد العربي إلا مع كتابات المبدعين الروائيين في الألفية الثالثة، وهذه الرواية لها سمات وقرائن تميزها عن غيرها من السرود، سواء أكان ذلك من حيث بنيتها الدائرية أم تيماتها الخاصة، وكذلك من حيث مواقف أبطالها من الوجود والموجودات، فالولي الروائي قد يرى ولايته مناطحة لمقام النبوة، أو تفوقه، وهذا الولي يطوي الأمكنة ولا يحده زمن، كما لا يعوقه قاموس عن التواصل مع غيره من الخلق، تدور حول ميلاده وموته العجائب والكرامات، وله موقفه المتمايز من التكاليف الدينية ومن المرأة، وهو بالضرورة متسامح مع غيره من البشر والكائنات.

The study suggests that Sufi fiction did not become prominent in Arabic narrative until the advent of the third-millennium novelists' writings. This fiction has characteristics and cues that distinguish it from other narratives, whether in terms of its circular structure or its specific themes, as well as in terms of the positions of its protagonists towards existence and beings. The Sufi novelist may consider his sainthood a challenge to the position of prophecy or even surpassing it. This saint folds places and does not obey time, nor does a dictionary prevent him from communicating with other creatures. Miracles revolve around his birth and death, and he has a distinctive position on religious obligations and women. He is necessarily tolerant of other humans and beings
