الانتحال هو القيام بتكرار العمل الفكرى لنفسك أو للغير سواءً كان بنفس الكلمات أو استبدالها بمترادفات وللانتحال محددات تعريفية أهما أصالة المادة العلمية ، ويمكن تجنب الانتحال بإحدى طريقتين أما منع الانتحال ( الوقاية خير من العلاج) أما كشف الانتحال ، وتقوم برامج كشف الانتحال وهى برامج بحث وأسترجاع و تعمل وفق خوارزميات معينة بمطابقة النصوص وليس كشف السرقات دون تدخل العنصر البشرى ، حيث يمكن للعنصر البشرى أن يقوم بجعل ما ليس انتحال انتحالاً وما هو انتحال ليس انتحالاً وذلك من خلال مجموعة الخيارات الت يوفر ها البرنامج ، وقد تم إستعراض 10 نماذج من المكتبات الجامعية الأجنبية وهى تقوم بتطبيق نظاماً لمنع وكشف الانتحال، كما تم إستعراض ما تقوم به المكتبات الجامعية المركزية والرقمية لثلاث جامعات ( حلوان – عين شمس- الأزهر ) فى أطار منع وكشف الانتحال وتبين أن المكتبات المركزية تقدم نظاماً للمنع يحتاج للمزيد من التطوير والتأهيل أيضا المكتبات الرقمية تقدم نظاماً للكشف بإستخدام برنامج Ithenticate ، كما تم دراسة أتجاهات عدد41 طالب دراسات عليا بالجامعات الثلاث ومعرفة أتجاهاتهم نحو الانتحال.

Plagiarism is the act of repeating the intellectual work of yourself or others, whether with the same words or replacing them with synonyms. Plagiarism has definitions, the most important of which is the originality of the scientific material. Plagiarism can be avoided in one of two ways: either preventing plagiarism (prevention is better than cure) or detecting plagiarism. Plagiarism detection programs, which are search and retrieval programs that work according to specific algorithms, match texts and not detect plagiarism without human intervention, as the human element can make what is not plagiarism plagiarism and what is plagiarism not plagiarism through the set of options provided by this program. Ten models of foreign university libraries were reviewed, as they implement a system to prevent and detect plagiarism. The work of the central and digital university libraries of three universities (Helwan - Ain Shams - Al-Azhar) was also reviewed in the framework of preventing and detecting plagiarism. It was found that the central libraries provide a prevention system that needs further development and qualification. Digital libraries also provide a detection system using the Ithenticate program. Trends were also studied. 41 postgraduate students in the three universities and their attitudes towards plagiarism.
