This thesis was addressed the application of intelligent methods, such as fuzzy numbers and neutrosophic set theory to solve inventory management problems in situations of data uncertainty or ambiguity. This was done by examining two different cases, as follows:
Case (1): "Solving an Inventory Problem using Fuzzy Numbers"
Case (2): "Solving an Inventory Problem using Neutrosophic Numbers"
In both of the cases proposed above, the problem is transformed into Crisp numbers so that it can be solved using traditional methods. Thus, the solution is achieved in a manner that ensures maximum accuracy and effectiveness.
The results of Case Study (1), " Solving an Inventory Problem using Fuzzy Numbers" were achieved by applying fuzzy numbers to an inventory problem to more accurately represent item levels, taking into account factors such as demand fluctuations, delivery times, and supplier variations. Solving the problem enabled us to obtain more accurate forecasts, facilitating the decision-making process necessary for effective inventory management.
Case Study (2) "Solving an Inventory Problem using Neutrosophic Numbers" incorporates neutrosophic numbers into the inventory problem to enable decision makers to effectively understand the complexity and ambiguity inherent in demand patterns. This enables decision makers to make informed decisions regarding order quantities, reserve stock levels, and production scheduling. Incorporating neutrosophic numbers enhances the accuracy and reliability of these decisions, ultimately leading to improved operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
