Global health diplomacy is a relatively new area linking foreign policy and health objectives. Although the field of health diplomacy has recently evolved, studies on this area are relatively few, especially with regard to practices in the Arab republic of Egypt and the views of individuals working in this area. This study aims to bridge this scientific gap in terms of the tools, practices, actors and institutions involved in this field, and how health has affected international relations. The study concludes that key actors and stakeholders in global health diplomacy are identified, with particular emphasis on Egypt’s experience. In addition, the study shows key tools and best practices for global health diplomacy. These results may help paving the way for further research work in this important area and contribute to the development of Egyptian health diplomacy strategy.

الدبلوماسية الصحية الدولية هي مجال حديث نسبيا يربط بين أهداف السياسة الخارجية والصحة. وهي أحد أشكال استخدام الأدوات الحديثة التي فرضتها التحولات الدولية المعاصرة في مجال العلاقات الدولية. وعلى الرغم من تطور مجال الدبلوماسية الصحية مؤخرا، إلا أن الدراسات عن هذا المجال قليلة نسبيا خاصة فيما يتعلق بالممارسات في جمهورية مصر العربية ووجهات نظر الأفراد الذين يعملون بهذا المجال. وتهدف هذه الدراسة إلى سد هذه الفجوة العلمية من حيث الأدوات والممارسات والفاعلين والمؤسسات العاملة في هذا المجال وكيف أثرت الصحة في مجال العلاقات الدولية وتخلص الدراسة الى تحديد الجهات الفاعلة الرئيسية وأصحاب المصلحة في الدبلوماسية الصحية الدولية مع التركيز بشكل خاص على التجربة المصرية. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تظهر الدراسة الأدوات الرئيسية وأفضل الممارسات للدبلوماسية الصحية الدولية مما يساهم في تمهيد الطريق لمزيد من العمل البحثي في هذا المجال المهم والمساهمة في وضع استراتيجية الدبلوماسية الصحة المصرية.
