تهدف الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على تأثير ممارسة مكافحة العدوى الفعَّالة على نجاح استبدال المفصل الصناعي، وأهميَّة تطبيق نظام مكافحة العدوى، ودوره الفعال في نجاح العمليات، وهدفت أيضًا الدراسة إلى توضيح أهم المشاكل التي يعاني منها المرضى خلال فترة التحضير والعلاج والجراحة بهدف معالجة أهم الأسباب للوصول إلى أفضل الحلول الممكنة للحد من فشل العمليات، وتقليل حالات الانتكاسات، وتقليل فترة العلاج وحفاظًا على حياة المرضى وتقليل التكاليف الخاصة العلاج.وتنبع أهميَّة البحث من منع العدوى والسيطرة على أحد المكونات الأساسيَّة التي تعتمد على رعاية المرضى بشكل آمن ويودي إلى توفير بيئة آمنة خالية من العدوى للعاملين والمجتمع، وذلك بتطبيق سياسات وإجراءات منع العدوى والسيطرة عليها بغض النظر عن الموارد والإمكانيات وتحسين أداء المستشفيات وتقليل تكاليف الفشل لتلك العمليات وإرضاء العملاء من خلال نجاح العمليات والأداء وتقليل إعادة العمليات مرة أخرى.ونظرًا لطبيعة الدراسة والأهداف التي تسعى إلى تحقيقها وفي ضوء التساؤلات والمستهدف الإجابة عنها فقد استخدم الباحث منهج البحث الوصفي التحليلي، والذي يعتمد على دراسة الظاهرة كما توجد في الواقع، ويهتم بوصفها وصفًا دقيقًا ويعبر عنها تعبيرًا كيفيًا وكميًا، كما لا يكتفي هذا النهج بجمع المعلومات المتعلقة بالظاهرة من أجل استقصاء مظاهرها وعلاقاتها المختلفة بل يتعداه إلى التحليل والربط والتفسير للوصول إلى استنتاجات يبنى عليها التصور.

The study aims to highlight the impact of effective infection control practices on the success of joint replacement surgery, the importance of implementing an infection control system, and its effective role in the success of operations. The study also aims to clarify the most important problems that patients suffer from during the preparation, treatment, and surgery period with the aim of addressing the most important causes to reach the best possible solutions to reduce surgical failure, reduce relapses, shorten the treatment period, preserve patients’ lives, and reduce treatment costs.The importance of the research stems from preventing and controlling infection, one of the basic components that depend on safe patient care and leads to providing a safe environment free of infection for workers and society, by applying infection prevention and control policies and procedures regardless of resources and capabilities, improving hospital performance, reducing the costs of failure of these operations, and satisfying customers through successful operations and performance and reducing re-operations.Given the nature of the study and the objectives it seeks to achieve, and in light of the questions and the target to answer them, the researcher used the descriptive analytical research method, which relies on studying the phenomenon as it exists in reality, and is concerned with describing it accurately and expressing it qualitatively and quantitatively. This approach is not satisfied with collecting information related to the phenomenon in order to investigate its various aspects and relationships, but rather goes beyond that to analysis, connection and interpretation to reach conclusions upon which the proposed concept is built through the survey form prepared for this purpose.
