قامت الدراسة بتحليل تأثير إكتشافات الغاز على السياسة الخارجية الإسرائيلية تجاه إقليم شرق المتوسط , من خلال الوقوف على أهمية منطقة شرق المتوسط بكافة المجالات وخريطة إكتشافات الغاز بها , فضلاً عن أهداف السياسة الخارجية الإسرائيلية بالإقليم , والمحددات الداخلية والخارجية التى شكلت توجهات السياسة الخارجية الإسرائيلية تجاه الإقليم , وكذلك الأدوات المختلفة التى إعتمدت عليها إسرائيل لخدمة أهدافها , والتحديات التى تواجهها فى تنفيذ سياساتها الخارجية , إلى جانب الرؤية الإستشرافية لمستقبل السياسة الخارجية بالإقليم ,وذلك بإستخدام منهج تحليل السياسة الخارجية ورؤية النظريات " الواقعية - المثالية " تجاه إكتشافات الغاز بإعتبارها أحد موارد الطاقة

The study analyzed the impact of gas discoveries on Israeli foreign policy toward the Eastern Mediterranean region, examining the importance of the Eastern Mediterranean region in all areas and the map of gas discoveries there, as well as the objectives of Israeli foreign policy in the region, and the internal and external determinants that shaped Israeli foreign policy orientations toward the region.As well as the various tools that Israel has relied on to serve its goals, and the challenges it faces in implementing its foreign policies, in addition to the forward-looking vision for the future of foreign policy in the region, using the approach of foreign policy analysis and the vision of the "realistic-idealistic" theories towards gas discoveries as one of the energy resources
