استهدفت الدراسة الوقوف على طبيعة العلاقات الروسية التركية، التي تدور بين التنافس والصراع، وقد دللت على مدار فصولها لاختلاف التيارات النظرية التي تحاول إن تفسر طبيعة العلاقة بينهما فثمة تيار يذهب إلي إن البعد العسكري للعلاقات الروسية التركية خلق حيزًا من الصراع بين الدولتين نطاقه المنطقة الأورو-أسيوية، بينما يذهب تيارًا آخر إلى إن هناك نقاط التقاء وتقاطع كُثرلا سيما في النطاق العسكري بين الدولتين أنتجت – تدريجيًا- وبشكل مباشر وغير مباشر تعاونًا أمنيًا بينهما لاسيما في منطقة أورسيا، فنتيجة لتداخل المشروع الأمني الروسي وكذلك المشروع التركي تبادلت الدولتين دوافعًا لتعزيز التقارب العسكري بينهما، خاصةً مع وجود أسس قوية للتعاون العسكري بينهما منذ التسعينيات. ومن ثم ركزت الدراسة على وصف وتحليل البعد العسكري في العلاقات الروسية التركية للوقوف على الكيفية التي تم بها توظيف هذا البعد في تطوير التعاون الأمني بين البلدين وذلك في منطقة أوراسيا منذ عام 2000.
The study aims to examine the nature of Russian-Turkish relations, which fluctuate between competition and conflict. Throughout its chapters, the study highlights different theoretical perspectives that attempt to explain the nature of this relationship. One perspective argues that the military dimension of Russian-Turkish relations has created a space for conflict between the two countries, particularly in the Eurasian region. Another perspective suggests that there are several points of convergence and overlap, particularly in the military domain, which have gradually led—both directly and indirectly—to security cooperation between the two countries, especially in Eurasia.As the Russian and Turkish security projects have increasingly intertwined, both countries have developed motives to enhance their military rapprochement. This cooperation is further strengthened by long-standing military ties dating back to the 1990s. Therefore, this study focuses on describing and analyzing the military dimension in Russian-Turkish relations to understand how it has been utilized to develop security cooperation between the two countries in Eurasia since 2000.
