Microorganisms with their diverse population contribute to the adaptability of xerophytic plants to the adverse environmental conditions of semi- arid and arid desert. The present study in north Sinai plant- soil ecosystem clearly indicated that roots as well as shoots of plants harbour diverse populations of bacteria
