In this thesis two extra high voltage transmission lines HIF detection schemes have been proposed based on the high frequency disturbance generated on the voltage signales at the relay location . The high frequency disturbances are extracted by high pass filter and wavelet transform respectively to recognize the change corresponding to the HIF effect on the voltage signal
