The present study was aimed at : a) comparison of the behavior of duplex (DSS) and super duplex (SDSS) in conditions of overheating in the range 475 - 950{u00BA}C, b ) simulate excessive heat input during welding of DSS and SDSS by heating to the 475 - 900{u00BA}C for short time (10 minutes ), c) simulate the conditions of overheating during service and during slow cooling after hot forging of large pieces of SDSS and DSS by heating to the 475 - 950{u00BA}C for longer time (30 and 60 minutes)
