Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Ophthalmology Summary: With the current advances in small incision catarat surgery IOL technology there is increasing demand for the ophthalmic surgeon to perform refractive cataract surgery . The treatment goal is to choose a surgical strategy that permits correction of the patients total refractive error in one operation . This may be accomplished by choosing the appropriate combination of wound construction placement and closure as well as using techniques of incisional keratolomies
