The aim of this study was to determine the effect of diaphragmatic training on maximal inspiratory pressure and pulmonary gas exchange for patients undergoing coronary revascularization. Thirty three patients were randomly divided into 16 patients in control group and 17 patients in study group. Control group received usual physical therapy care and study group received inspiratory muscle training and the usual physical therapy care during the preoperative and postoperative periods
