The settled sludge contain aluminum hydroxide (A1(OH)₃) mixed with solids suspended in raw water . Acidification of alum sludge using sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄) providd alum recovery which may used as coagulant in water treatment plant and provide volume and solid content reduction for residual sludge after acidifiication
